JioGames Master Challenge
Innovative Game Development Challenge
Problem Statement:
Develop a new, innovative H5 hyper casual game (Game for Smartphone under 50 MB) that
can be featured on the JioGames platform. The game should offer a unique and engaging
experience. Ensure the game is bug free, functional, and aligns with JioGames platform
requirements.
Things to Remember:
• Understanding Hyper-Casual Games: They are simple, addictive, and designed for
quick play.
• Choosing the Right Engine: Select an engine that suits your project’s complexity and
requirements.
• Porting to HTML5: Allows easy access through web browsers, expanding the
audience.
• Adding an Indian Flavour: Infuse cultural elements to make the game more relatable
to an Indian audience.
• Using a Game Design Document (GDD) and Flowcharts: Create a detailed game
blueprint and visualize the game’s structure.
• Testing and Optimizing: Ensure your game runs smoothly.
• Monetization and Marketing: Create a basic monetization and marketing plan for
your game, centered around JioGames platform.
• Refer to the support documents available in the same JioCloud folder for a better
understanding of the game development process.
Submission Requirements:
• Create a Game Design Document (GDD), including a detailed flowchart.
• A basic monetization and marketing plan in a word document.
• Share the source file and the H5 game build.
• Share all the files in a compressed folder over Cloud. Cloud Link for the final
submission will be shared with the participants.
Guidelines:
• Capture Indian cultural element to your game.
• Game’s source file should be zipped along with game assets and other
dependencies.
• Minimum team size is 1, maximum team size is 3.
• Your game submission along with any other document (game assets and other
dependencies) should be compressed and renamed to <Case Name>_<Team Name>
(eg. Game Development_Akatsuki).
• If you are including any text document, it should not contain multiple font type, use
any one font (Arial/Calibri/Times New Roman).
• You have to submit the solution within the defined time frame of the JioGames
Master Challenge. Late submissions will be rejected and eliminated.
• Any Team that does not follow the guidelines will be disqualified.
• You will be judged upon the rubrics mentioned below.
Rubrics (Parameters for Assessment):
• Originality and Creativity:
o Uniqueness of the game concept.
• Game Design and User Experience:
o Quality of game mechanics, balancing, Visual appeal, art style and user
experience.
• Functionality and Stability:
o Functionality of the game, smooth performance and lack of critical bugs.
• Development Effort:
o Effective use of time and resources in developing the game.
• User Engagement:
o Ability of the game to captivate and retain users over time.
• Monetization and Marketing Plan:
o Plan to increase the reach of your Game and the revenue generation plan for
the game.
