I have prepared this activity to help you understand better the lessons on the Web and the Internet. Through
this task, you will be able to demonstrate not only your knowledge but also your creativity and ability to
apply what you have learned in real-life situations.

Activity: Web Time Machine & Internet Explorer Challenge


1. Part 1 – Web Time Machine (Group Work)

• Form groups of 5–6 members.


• Together, create a visual timeline (poster, digital infographic, or short slideshow) that shows the evolution
of the World Wide Web from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 to Web 3.0.
• Your timeline must include:
- Definition and characteristics of each web version
- Examples of websites or platforms for each version
- A creative analogy (e.g., Web 1.0 = library, Web 2.0 = marketplace, Web 3.0 = personal assistant)

2. Part 2 – Internet Explorer Challenge (Individual Work)

• Each of you will choose one major component or use of the Internet (such as email, search engines, cloud
storage, IoT, or e-commerce).
• Write a short reflective essay (150–200 words) that explains:
- How it started (brief history/background)
- Why it is important in today’s society
- A real-life example of how you personally use it
• In your essay, use and define at least three (3) internet-related terms from our lesson.
