Climate change has become one of the most pressing global issues of the 21st century.
Recent studies indicate that human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels, have significantly
increased the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (Smith, 2020). According to
Johnson and Lee (2021), these emissions have led to rising global temperatures and more frequent
extreme weather events. Moreover, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2023)
reported that immediate mitigation strategies are necessary to limit warming to below 1.5°C. Without
collective international efforts, the effects of climate change could become irreversible by the end of the
century (Brown et al., 2022).
