Club Flick Badminton Court opens its door once again to
2018 accommodate and house this year’s City Meet Badminton
Event. With the leadership of two of most hard-working
tournament managers(TM), Mr. Rhenz Noriel T. Yee from Sto.
Niño Elementary School and Ms. Mayona Tanaotanao of
Parañaque National High School-Main, they were able to pull
off the event smoothly and successfully from day one until
the last day of the tournament.
To ensure the flow of the program, guidelines,
technical concerns on the event, Solidarity Meeting for
2018 Parañaque City Meet was held on November 22,
2018 at San Antonio Elementary School. It was well
attended by tournament managers from different sports
activity, their officiating officials, and coaches.
Mr. Yee as he discussed the Badminton
Guidelines and ground rules that strictly needs to
follow before, during and after each game. The
affirmation on the said discussion from the coaches
of cluster one, cluster two and PSAP teams
were delightedly heard in the meeting. Some of the attendees in the solidarity meeting were
Mr. Mark Federizo from Sto. Niño Elementary School,
Mr. Victor Belango of Dr. Arcadio Santos National High
School, Coach from Sun Valley Elementary School,Mr.
Julius Casqueta, Mrs. Elycel Agustin of La Huerta
Elementary School, Shamin De Jesus of Don Galo

managers.
Day one of City Meet’s Badminton event started last November
26,2018 at Club Flick Badminton Court. The program started
with a prayer and singing of nationalistic song. Ms. Mayona
Tanaotanao, tournament manager for elementary gave her
opening remarks followed by a short but sweet message from
coach Manolet Raymundo. Briefing of athletes, officials,
coaches even parents were clearly given by Mr. Rhenz Noriel T.
Yee, tournament manager for secondary, stressing DISCIPLINE.
First match was mixed doubles for elementary and secondary level.
Day two of the event also went well. The
program was smoothly done. Prayer was
led by Ms. Tanaotanao and followed by the
singing of national anthem conducted by
Mr. Federizo. Mr. Yee always makes sure in
his short briefing that all athletes
understood the do’s and donts in the
tournament. He consistently reminding the
players that discipline is key to success.
and because we are aligning this year’s city
meet in the NCR PALARO, every match should
have marching in and out and courtesy to all
officials in the court as well as the opposite
teams are observed.
Matches for this day were singles and doubles
for both girls and boys, elementary and
secondary level.
Attendance was checked every day for the players, coaches and officials. Proper
uniform as well was strictly implemented. Coaches places, officials such as line
judges, scorers during the game were properly observed.
Matches lined up for this day were from the loser’s
bracket, singles and doubles for both boys and girls,
elementary and secondary levels.
Players gave their best to win the game. The stamina
and skills of these kids were surprisingly great.
They’ve all given their best fight for this year City
Meet Badminton 2018.
Closing ceremony and awarding of the winners were done on the 4 th day of the
tournament. It was indeed a very good and successful event for the coaches, officials,
parents and especially to the athletes. Congratulations kids! Road to the NCR Palaro
it is!
