From Project Organization > Manage Project Unit Organizations
Project unit: Is an operational subset of your enterprise, such as a line of business, which conducts its business
operations using projects, and must enforce consistent project planning, management, analysis, and reporting.

Press on Add
From Project Organization –> Manage Project Unit Options
This step is to connect the Business unit with the project unit

You will not find your BU in the list that’s because you need to finish configuring your BU First
Note :-
How can I associate a business unit with a project unit?
You can associate a business unit with a project unit during the Related Business Units step of the Manage
Project Units setup task if the business unit is already configured using the Configure Project Accounting
Business Function setup task.
If the business unit is not configured, then you can associate a project unit with the business unit from the
navigation
From Project Organization --> Configure Project Accounting Business Function

We need to create an Organization hierarchy to set up the Project Accounting Business Function, so we will skip
this point until we configure the Organization hierarchy

Organization Hierarchy and Tree
From Workforce Structures → Manage Organization Trees
Firstly, we have to create an Organization Tree
From action → Create Tree

Select the Row and press the Action button
Then select → Create Tree Version option

In this step, we are going to add the hierarchy and connect BU with PU
Tree Nodes: Tree nodes are points of data convergence where a tree branches into levels. Nodes are the
building blocks of a tree structure and are attached to tree versions.

Select your BU
Select the node you have been added and press the add button again
Select your PU and then press Submit

You will find the status *Draft* , So we will select the Row and press on Action icon
Set Status → Choose Active
You can run the Manage All Trees Operations Centrally scheduled process to do these tasks.
• Copy tree version – Duplicate from an existing tree version.
• Audit and activate tree version – Audit the tree version, and mark the tree version as active, if audited
successfully.
• Flatten tree version – Incrementally flatten both rows and columns, and force flatten the tree version.

From Action, choose → Audit

Now we can come back to Configure Project Accounting Business Function to assign the Tree Hierarchy
From Project Organizations → Configure Project Accounting Business Function
From Project Organizations → Manage Project Unit Options
Select you Project Unit
You will find that your BU appears
