elegance and confidence to the stage. Our lovely candidates will strut with style and
sophistication. Let the swimsuit competition begin!
Jhebb: First to show off her physique and strut the stage is candidate number 1-
Loriens Babayen-on. For her, a rainbow represents the beauty of diversity and unity.
Just as each color in the spectrum has its own unique shade, we, as individuals,
bring our own strengths and qualities to the world. Yet, it’s when we come together
embracing our differences and working in harmony that we create something truly
beautiful and inspiring. A rainbow is a reminder that after every storm, there’s always
hope and the promise of brighter days ahead.
John Loyd: Coming up is candidate number 2- Mika Divinagracia. For her, a rainbow
symbolizes diversity, acceptance, and pride within the LGBTQ+ community. It
represents the spectrum of identities and experiences, celebrating the ultimate
beauty in our differences. Each color tells a story of struggle, resilience, and joy.
Jhebb: Up next is candidate number 3- Joella Suarez. To her, rainbow also
symbolizes unity, bringing together people from all walks of life under a shared
commitment to equality and human rights. It stands as a testament to the progress
that has been made toward LGBTQ+ rights and the ongoing fight for a future where
everyone can live freely and openly. In essence, the rainbow is more than just a
spectrum of colors. it is a symbol of love, inclusivity, and the enduring spirit of the
LGBTQ+ community.
John Loyd: It’s your turn, candidate number 4- Stephen Pama Pabilona. For her,
rainbow represents us, member of LGBTQIA+Community. It is our beacon of
acceptance and pride. Each color symbolizes who we are: Red for Love, Orange for
Empathy, Yellow for Joy, Green for Nature, Blue for Peace, Indigo for Strength, and
Violet for Victory. Together, these colors reflect the strength of our diversity and our
unwavering pursuit of acceptance and equality in our society.
Jhebb: Common down, Candidate number 5- JM Baldemor. For her, a rainbow
represents hope, unity, and resilience. It’s a reminder that after every storm, beauty
and light will follow. Just as the different colors come together to create something
stunning, I believe that diversity and strength in unity can bring about positive change
in our world.

To her, Rainbow symbolizes Hope and Happiness. When you see Rainbow, it may

Rainbows, represent beauty, diversity, and hope. It depicts unity and the blending of
different elements, such as a rainbow of colors that come together to produce
something spectacular. Each hue shines on its own, but when combined, they form a
stunning whole that depicts the beauty of diversity and tenacity in the face of storms.
John Loyd: Slay the stage candidate number 8- Mark Lester T. Aguilar. For her,
symbols of hope a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's
achievement, the achievements of those with whom one is strongly associated or
from qualities or possessions that are widely admires.
Jhebb: Ending the swimsuit competition is candidate number 9- Steven Bajade. For
her, rainbow represents beauty and hope coming after every storm. It symbolizes the
challenges and difficulties in our lives, it can lead to something beautiful and
wonderful happenings if we face our problems with hope and trust, hope that we can
surpass every challenge and a strong faith in God. If we put trust in ourselves and
believe in our capabilities, there are no challenges and obstacles that we can't
overcome. Always remember that there is a rainbow after the rain. A rainbow that
represents the inspiring stories of every LGBTQ+ community and how they are able
to succeed.

tonight’s crown. Truly, that tonight is a momentous occasion where we come together
to celebrate not just physical beauty, but also their inner strength, grace, and poise
under pressure that define our candidates.

Integrity, fairness, and expertise—our prestigious panel of adjudicators embody
these qualities as they undertake the responsibility of choosing our first ever Dyosa
sang Bahaghari 2024.
Jhebb: Precisely! Tonight, we are probably meet the impressive group of Beauty
Queens, and Professionals overseeing tonight’s competition. They’ve got some
mage decisions ahead of them and by the end of the night, they will be changing
someone’s life. Alongside of meeting our judges is to appreciate the efforts and the
expertise they show in this competition by giving them a token and certificate of
Appreciation. The certificate reads… Municipality of Banate, Banate Pride, Certificate
of appreciation, is hereby presented for gracing her invaluable time and expertise as
JUDGE during the Search for Dyosa Sang Bahaghari 2024 as part of the Tourism

Is a dedicated model, beauty queen, public speaker, student leader, and advocate
who is currently on her 4th year in pursuing a degree in Political Science and Public
Administration at Central Philippine University. She represented Malay, Aklan, in the
national pageant, Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen 2021, and models under Elite Models
Aklan (EMA Modeling Agency). Her work has allowed her to collaborate with various
brands and designers, showcasing her versatility in both the lifestyle and fashion
industries.
Beyond her career as a beauty queen and model, she is recognized as a compelling
public speaker. She has been invited to speak at different local platforms and
universities about her advocacy, particularly focusing on environmental causes and
promoting sustainable community tourism. Additionally, she volunteers in
geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas of Aklan to support and champion
local community enterprises, especially those of the Akeanon-Bukidnon Indigenous
Peoples Community.
She also serves as a Youth Peer Educator for HIV and AIDS awareness with the
Philippine Red Cross Boracay - Malay Chapter. As a student leader at Central
Philippine University, she has been awarded with the Jeanine M. Marquez Memorial
Leadership and Service Award as Outstanding Ministry in Local Government Unit of
Central Philippine University. In 2021, she was recognized as the Exemplary
Malaynon Youth by the Sangguniang Bayan for bringing pride to the municipality of
Malay and the province of Aklan. As she continues to build her career, she remains
dedicated to leveraging her platform to champion causes she deeply believes in.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us show hospitality to our first judge, Miss Shealtiel Kyze
Cahilig.
John Loyd: Our next judge is a Batch Topnotcher in 2017 and A Gerry Roxas
Leadership Awardee. She is also a Theater Actor of West Visayas State University
Teatro Dagami and University of the Philippines Visayas Performa. An awardee of
both Leadership and Arts in 2019 and a Former Chairperson of College of
Management Student Council A.Y. 2022-2023. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration major in Marketing at the University of the Philippines
Visayas, Magna Cum Laude. Currently, an Investment Specialist at Metropolitan
Bank and Trust Company. She is Barotac Viejo’s Diyosa sang Patubas 2022 and the
reigning Lin-ay sang Iloilo 2023. Let us all welcome Miss Lyka Shane Balofiños.
Jhebb: And our final judge for tonight graduated his degree with specialization in
Music and Dance at the College of PESCAR, West Visayas State University and his
Masters in School Management from the same University. He has earned units in
Bachelor of Laws at University of Iloilo- PHINMA. He finished his Doctor of Education
at EARIST- Bangkok, Thailand and his second doctorate degree in Management at
Philippine Christian University. Recently, he graduated in Sustainable Tourism at
Asian Institute of Management.
He is the only Ilonggo to be a member of the Associated Board of the Royal School
of Music- London. He was once a cultural worker at Philippine Embassy, Doha, State
of Qatar, a Director of Anda Performing Arts School and an administrator of Tara
Pattana International School at Pattaya City, Thailand. His study, Intercultural
Learning Through Performing Arts in ASEAN Diaspora, funded by the Council of
International Schools- United Kingdom gave him a chance to study the Music and
Dance of Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia,
Brunei, Singapore and the Philippines.
He is the author of the book Pag-ulikid: Reminiscing 100 Ilonggo Folk Songs in Piano
and Bahandi: The Anthology of Ilonggo Folk Dances. His expertise in culture and the
arts paved his way to be an on sought judge to different talent showdowns around
the country.
At present, he is a Municipal Government Department Head 1 of the Municipality of
San Enrique, as well as the President of the Association of Iloilo Tourism Officers, a
Professorial Lecturer at the University of San Agustin and Iloilo State University of
Fisheries, Science and Technology Graduate School and member Committee on
Music of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Let us begin the festival costume with Candidate number 1- Loriens Babayen-on
“DYOSA SANG KARAGATAN”
This mermaid-inspired costume features a flowing, iridescent design that blends
deep ocean blues with shimmering gold accents. The centerpiece is a large, ornate
shell placed in the front, initially concealing much of the design. As the candidate
moves, the shell opens or shifts, dramatically revealing the full beauty of the
costume. This surprise element creates a theatrical effect, enhancing the allure of the
mermaid theme. The costume itself is crafted with a sleek, scaled fabric that catches
the light, mimicking the texture of a mermaid's tail. Gold embellishments line the
edges, creating a striking contrast against the cool blues, while subtle details like
seaweed-like ribbons and pearl accents enhance the undersea fantasy. The overall
look evokes the mysterious beauty of the deep sea, blending fantasy with a sense of
royalty.
John Loyd: Now let us witness candidate number 2- Mikah Divinagracia.
The festival costume representing the goddess of the sea and livelihood abundance
is a vibrant and intricate ensemble that embodies the essence of marine life, fertility,
and prosperity. This costume is often worn during cultural festivals that celebrate
maritime heritage, agricultural bounty, and the interconnectedness of nature. In
summary, this festival costume is a celebration of both beauty and reverence for
nature’s gifts, embodying themes of abundance derived from both land and sea.
Jhebb: Candidate number 3- Joella Suarez is wearing a woman under sea, playing
the waves. Come along, come with me, Take a dive in the deep blue sea. Put on
your gear, let's explore All the way to the ocean floor. a woman under the sea (sea
creatures) lamang dagat gikan sa baybayon sang banate.
John Loyd: Candidate number 4- Stephen Pabilona is serving us Mare Fluctus de
Banate, meaning "Wave of the Sea of Banate," is a festival attire that embodies the
beauty and power of the sea, reflecting Banate’s rich coastal heritage. The design
features a stunning wave-like silhouette, crafted from flowing fabric resembling the
rhythmic motion of ocean waves. Adorned with shimmering white pearls, symbolizing
the hidden treasures of the deep, the attire reflects both the beauty and mystery of
the sea. The combination of blue and white evokes the vibrant waves and serene
beaches Banate is known for, making this attire a tribute to the town’s rich maritime
heritage and natural splendor.
Jhebb: Slay the stage candidate number 5- JM Baldemor. "MANDARAGAT"
A Festival costume that gives tribute to all Fishermen in Banate. Life in the sea is like
your future, it's unpredictable. It is between "take a risk" or "die in hunger"
MANDARAGAT wake up early in the morning and even go to sea with their growling
stomach. They are patient and persistent in sailing their boats (bangka) but in return
to that, the abundans from the ocean is fulfilling. In spite of the uncertainties in terms
of tenure and safety during stormy days, you can't stop a MANDARAGAT who has
the heart of being strong and courageous to sail and to survive.
John Loyd: Candidate number 6- Jepoy Babac is surprising us with her look as
“Balod Sa Baybayon”
This Festival Costume Represents Banate's rich fishing ground that naturally
inclined to flourish. Balod sa Baybayon symbolizes the ebb and flow of our life,
change and unpredictability of life, reminding us that we must embrace change,
adapt to new situations and learn to navigate its ups and downs as they come.
Jhebb: Now let’s meet candidate number 7- Christian Badilla "BUGANA"
This costume aims to celebrate the Abundance of marine creatures in the
municipality of Banate through its Kasag Festival. In order to reflect the essence of
this festivity that expresses the hardworking value of every Banatenhon. The bearer
is wearing a sea themed festival costume adorned with hundreds of crystals and
rhinestones that resembles the bodies of water and the rich aquaculture of batad.
The unique part of this costume is its hand sculpted giant fish on its backdress and
an antic Lamp or lampara on the headdress which picture out the scene during the
panulo where fisherman went to sea at night using only a petroleum gas as light.
John Loyd: Candidate number 8- Mark Lester Aguilar is ready to share her costume
with us wearing Ati costume represents cultural identity, history, and connection to
our ancestral land. As with many indigenous cultures, this traditional attire holds
great value and significance especially the local hand of Brgy managupaya made
products that represents the authenticity and appreciation of the countless effort of
how it is made. It's important to respect and appreciate the cultural significance of the
costumes and the people who wear them. Tangkilikin ang sariling atin.
Jhebb: Finally candidate number 9- Steven Bajade- MANUG-ANI'
This festival costume symbolizes the essence of the harvest season, capturing the
spirit and traditions of Banatenhon farmers. "Manug-Ani," which means "harvester," is
depicted through vibrant colors and intricate designs inspired by agricultural motifs
like native patterns. The costume often features elements such as woven materials,
embellishments resembling crops, and accessories like hats or baskets, embodying
the hardworking nature and cultural pride of those who cultivate the land. This attire
not only highlights the beauty of the harvest but also serves as a tribute to the
farmers who sustain the community. We should always remember that, "Kapag may
itinanim, may aanihin"
