Title: Interview and Reflection Activity
Objective:
To develop communication skills, practice active listening, and reflect on the process of
conducting an interview.
Instructions:
1. Choose an Interviewee
o You may interview a friend, classmate, relative, or any person of your choice.
o The interview can be conducted face-to-face or online (video call, chat, or email).
2. Prepare Questions
o Write at least 5–7 open-ended questions.
o Questions should focus on personal experiences, opinions, or insights (e.g., about
studies, hobbies, challenges, or goals).
3. Conduct the Interview
o Introduce yourself and explain the purpose of the interview.
o Ask the questions politely and listen carefully.
o Take notes or record (with permission).
4. Output
Submit the following:
o Transcript or Summary of the interview (1–2 pages).
o Reflection Paper (1–2 pages) discussing:
What you learned about the person.
How you felt during the interview.
What skills you improved (e.g., communication, confidence, empathy).
Rubric (100 points):
Prepared Questions (20 pts): Relevance and clarity.
Conduct of Interview (20 pts): Respect, courtesy, and engagement.
Transcript/Summary (20 pts): Accuracy and completeness.
Reflection (30 pts): Depth of insights and self-assessment.
Organization & Mechanics (10 pts): Grammar, structure, and clarity.
