Jordan method.

Course Outcomes (COs): After successful completion of the course, students will be
able to:
apply numerical techniques to find approximate solutions to systems of linear
equations.

Q.1 Solve the following equations by Guass elimination method.

4x + y + z = 4, x + 4y − 2z = 4, 3 x + 2y − 4z = 6.
Ans x = 1, y = 1/2, z =− 1/2
Q.2 Solve the following equations by Guass elimination method.
2x + 4y + z = 3, 3x + 2y − 2z =− 2, x − y + z = 6.
Ans x = 2, y =− 1, z =3
Q.3 Solve the following equations by Guass elimination method.
x + y + z = 2, 2x + 2y − 2z = 1, 3x + 4y + z = 9.
Ans x =− 1, y = 0, z =3
Q.4 Solve the following equations by Guass - Jordan method.
x + 2y + 6z = 22, 3 x + 4y + z = 26, 6 x − y − z = 19.
x = 4, y = 3, z = 2
Q.5 Solve the following equations by Guass - Jordan method.
10x + y + z = 12, 2x + 10y + z = 13, x + y + 5z = 17.
Ans x = 1, y = 1, z = 1
Q.6 Solve the following equations by Guass - Jordan method.
x + y + z = 5, 2x + 3y + z = 10, 3x − 2y + 2z = 3.
Ans x = 1, y = 2, z = 2
