work is an extension of the earlier work of Naidu et
al. (2013), in which they solve the field equations with
constant deceleration parameter along with two other
conditions. Here we found that in one of our models the
behavior of the physical and kinematical parameters
are same with that of Naidu et al. (2013) and these pa-
rameters in our other model behave differently. In both
the models cosmic strings do not survive. We observed
that the type of time variations of deceleration param-
eter considered here do not affect the non-existence of
cosmic string in this model. Hence the consideration of
