Topic 1: Your daily meals and your favourite food
I usually have three main meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and
sometimes I have a small snack in the afternoon. For me, breakfast is the
most important meal because it gives me energy to start the day. A typical
meal in my family often includes rice, vegetables, fish, or meat. I think
fruits, vegetables, and fish are very good for our health, while fast food,
fried food, and soft drinks are unhealthy because they contain too much
fat and sugar. I prefer eating at home because the food is safer, fresher,
and cheaper than eating out. My favorite food is pho, a traditional
Vietnamese noodle soup. It tastes delicious, and it also represents the
culture of Vietnam.
Topic 2: A famous person
One of the famous people I like best is Cristiano Ronaldo. He was born in
1985 in Portugal and he is a professional football player. I know about
him from the internet, newspapers, and football matches on TV. Ronaldo
is famous for his great talent, his strong will, and his hard work. He has
played for many famous football clubs and won a lot of trophies. I am
very interested in him because he is not only a successful athlete but also
a person who inspires young people to follow their dreams. I admire his
determination and never-give-up spirit. In my opinion, he is a great role
model for everyone.
Topic 3: Your country or a country you know well
The country I like best is Vietnam because it is my homeland. Vietnam is
famous for its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and delicious food such
as pho and banh mi. It is quite easy to travel around Vietnam by bus,
train, motorbike, or plane. Every region of Vietnam has its own charm,
but one of the most popular tourist destinations is Ha Long Bay, which is
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Besides, visitors also love places like
Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. The best time to visit Vietnam is in
spring because the weather is cool, there are many flowers, and people
celebrate Tet, the Lunar New Year. Vietnam is a wonderful country to
discover, and I am very proud of it.
Topic 4: Appearance and personality
My best friend is a girl named Lan, and I think she has both a nice
appearance and a great personality. She is tall and slim with long black
hair and big bright eyes. She usually dresses simply but she always looks
beautiful and confident. Lan is friendly, kind, and hard-working. She
often helps me with my homework and encourages me whenever I feel
sad or tired. She is also very honest, so I can share my secrets with her.
We spend a lot of time together studying, chatting, and having fun. To
me, she is not only a good friend but also like a sister who always stays
by my side.
