Developing Countries
Developing country also called a less developed country or emerging market has a lower gross
domestic product (GDP) than developed countries, with a less mature and sophisticated economy.
The countries which are going through the initial levels of industrial development along with low per
capita income
How do we know if a country is a "developing" country?
-The United Nations uses a metric called the Human Development Index (HDI) to determine whether a
country is fully developed or still developing.
-The generally accepted minimum HDI threshold for qualification as a developed country is 0.8.
According to the UN, in 2022, 126 countries were considered "developing countries”.
The following are the names of some developing countries:
1) Colombia

lower economic performance.
