How to Remove “Spam” Designation from Your Outbound Phone Number(s)
If you believe your business telephone number is currently being flagged as spam on the called
party’s caller ID, you can contact their telecommunications provider to review your status. After
verification, the spam tag may be removed from your business phone number and your status
may be updated.
The recently-passed TRACED (Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and
Deterrence) Act, which mandates that telephone carriers implement standards to combat
robocalling, is also affecting legitimate businesses, since frequent outbound calling can lead to a
telephone number being flagged as spam.

When registering, use the following template to request removal from the spam list:
“My phones number(s) xxx-xxx-xxx has/have been wrongly labeled as spam. I am an insurance
agent and I send correspondence to potential clients. When they respond to that correspondence
I call them using the number(s) above to set an appointment to discuss their insurance options. I
place over 1,000 outbound calls a month. Please remove any and all spam designation from the
above listed number(s) as the calls I make are generated specifically in response to a product
inquiry from my clients.”
