Track changes feature allows users to record, review, and manage modifications made to a

document, making it easier to collaborate and track revisions.

Enabling Track Changes:

1. Activate Tracking:

2. Show/Hide Changes:

Use Edit > Track Changes > Show to toggle the visibility of tracked changes.

3. Track Changes Toolbar:

The toolbar provides quick access to record, show/hide, and manage tracked changes.

How it Works:

Recording:

When tracking is enabled, LibreOffice Writer records all insertions, deletions, and formatting
changes.

Highlighting:

Inserted text is usually underlined and displayed in a specific colors, while deleted text is struck
through.

Author Information:

Each tracked change is associated with the author's name, date, and time of the change.

Comments:

You can add comments to specific changes using Edit > Track Changes > Comment.

Multiple Reviewers:

Different reviewers' changes are often displayed in different colors for easy identification.

Managing Tracked Changes:

Review Changes:

Use the Track Changes toolbar or Manage Changes dialog (Edit > Track Changes > Manage Changes)
to review each change.

Accept/Reject:

You can individually accept or reject changes, or accept/reject all changes at once.

Comments:

View and manage comments related to tracked changes in the Manage Changes dialog.

Important Considerations:
User Data:

Ensure your user name and initials are set in LibreOffice user data (Tools > Options > LibreOffice
Writer > User Data) as this information is used for tracking changes.

Password Protection:

To prevent unauthorized acceptance or rejection of changes, consider password-protecting the

document (File > Properties > Security).
