And now, let me introduce our project for today. As we know, cyberbullying is a serious
problem in today’s online world. Many people face hurtful messages, threats, and harassment
every day. So, “what is this?”, “why does it happen?”, and “how can we stop it?” are some
questions we will discuss today.
Part 2: Cyberbullying - A controversial issue:
In the next part “Cyberbullying- a controversial issue”, our group would like to answer these
questions: What is cyberbullying? How does cyberbullying happen? And how does it affect
schools and societies?

a)What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the act of using digital platforms to harass, threaten, or humiliate others. It
can occur through social media, messaging apps, online forums, or gaming communities.
Unlike traditional bullying, cyberbullying can happen anytime and anywhere, making it
harder for victims to escape.
b)How does cyberbullying happen?
Cyberbullying happens in various ways, often through anonymous or fake accounts.
Common forms of cyberbullying include spreading false rumors, posting embarrassing
photos, sending hurtful messages, or impersonating someone online to cause harm.
Bullies may send offensive messages. These messages can come from known individuals or
anonymous accounts, making it difficult to stop the harassment. Another form is public
humiliation, where private photos, videos, or personal information are shared without
consent to embarrass or harm the victim. This can happen through social media posts, group
chats, or even websites designed for gossip and rumors.
In addition, cyberbullies often use fake identities or impersonation to deceive others. They
may create fake accounts to spread false information, pretend to be someone else to ruin
their reputation, or manipulate victims into revealing personal details. Cyberbullying can also
take the form of cyberstalking, where the bully repeatedly monitors, follows, or intimidates
the victim online. This could involve tracking their online activity, sending threatening
messages over time, or even hacking into their accounts.
Because digital content spreads quickly and is difficult to erase, the impact of cyberbullying
can be long-lasting, affecting both the victim’s mental well-being and their social
relationships.
c)How does cyberbullying affect schools and societies?
Cyberbullying has serious consequences for both schools and societies.
In schools, victims often suffer from anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, which can
affect their ability to concentrate and perform well in class. Some students may become
socially withdrawn, avoiding school or extracurricular activities due to fear and
embarrassment. Additionally, the presence of cyberbullying creates a toxic school
environment where students feel unsafe and distrustful.
Beyond the school setting, cyberbullying negatively impacts the community as well. It can
lead to conflicts between students, families, and educators, making it difficult to foster a
positive and supportive atmosphere. Moreover, cyberbullying contributes to a culture of fear
and hostility online, where people hesitate to express themselves freely. If left unchecked, it
can erode trust within the community and encourage more aggressive or harmful online
behaviors.
Therefore, to help raise awareness about this issue, we would like to launch a campaign on
cyberbullying.
Part 3: Cyberbullying awareness campaign:
a)The campaign goals:
In order to build a healthy learning and development environment for everyone, it is
necessary to create awareness and education about the proper and responsible use of social
networks. The public needs to clearly understand the consequences of humiliating and
insulting others on social networks and the responsibility of each individual in contributing to
building a healthy and respectful online environment. It is necessary to encourage solidarity
and positive information sharing, and promote the use of social networks as a tool for
communication, learning and interaction in a positive way. In addition, there is a need for
intervention from management and legal agencies to strictly handle acts of violating honor
and dignity on social networks. At the same time, it is necessary to develop and enforce
reasonable and effective regulations and policies on the use of social networks, in order to
prevent and handle harmful and negative behaviors in the online space
b)Who will participate in our campaign?
Cyberbullying prevention campaigns involve various stakeholders who work together to
create a safer online environment. Government agencies and law enforcement organizations
enforce regulations and take action against online harassment. Non-governmental
organizations (NGOs) and educational institutions raise awareness through workshops and
programs. Technology companies and social media platforms develop policies and tools to
detect and prevent cyberbullying. Parents, teachers, and mental health professionals provide
guidance and support to victims. Additionally, celebrities and influencers use their platforms
to promote positive online behavior. By collaborating, these groups can effectively reduce
cyberbullying and protect internet users.
c)Who can help to fix this issue?
Helpers in cyberbullying prevention campaigns play a crucial role in creating a safer digital
space. Teachers and educators guide students on responsible internet use and teach them
about online safety. Parents and guardians support their children by monitoring their online
activities and providing emotional encouragement. Mental health professionals offer
counseling to victims, helping them cope with cyberbullying. Law enforcement agencies
investigate serious cases and take legal action against offenders. Additionally, social media
platforms and technology companies develop tools to detect and prevent harmful behavior.
By working together, these helpers contribute to reducing cyberbullying and promoting a
positive online environment.
d)What activities are included in the campaign?
In our cyberbullying awareness campaign, we will have many activities to educate and
engage students. First, we will organize workshops and talks to help students, parents, and
teachers understand cyberbullying and how to prevent it. We will also share posters and
infographics with important facts and tips.
To make learning more interactive, we will have role-playing activities to practice handling
cyberbullying, storytelling sessions where people can share their experiences, and quizzes
and games to test knowledge in a fun way.
On social media, we will start a hashtag challenge to spread kindness, hold video and poster
contests, and create profile frames and stickers for people to show support. In schools, we
will have a pledge wall, organize a “Digital Kindness Day”, and invite influencers or
celebrities to promote positive messages.
Finally, we will set up anonymous reporting systems, peer support groups, and provide
helplines for those who need help. Through these activities, we hope to make the online
world a safer and kinder place.
Part 4: Conclusion:
In conclusion, cyberbullying is a serious issue that impacts many, especially young people.
Our awareness campaign seeks to educate individuals on recognizing cyberbullying,
understanding its effects, and taking action to prevent it. By fostering open conversations and
promoting positive online behavior, we aim to create a safer digital space for everyone.
Together, we can combat cyberbullying and build a more supportive, respectful online
community. Let’s all work towards a kinder internet for everyone.
