Part 01: Essay Outline
What strategies can be implemented to overcome the limitations of AI tools?
I have selected this topic because artificial intelligence (AI) is being utilized more and more in
education but its pitfalls such as bias, misinformation, and lack of human judgment cannot be
ignored. In the course of this essay, I will be explaining the methods to alleviate these pitfalls and
demonstrate how applications of AI can be made the most if combined with human responsibility
and doubt.
One effective strategy is double-screening AI-generated content with reputable academic
sources. AI should never be the ultimate only resource for the students’ Assignments. As Baldwin
et al. (2020) explain, “Before believing what others have written, communicating with them, or
using a tool, it is wise to do some detective work. Check the claims, the author’s background,
sources, and accuracy” (p. 237). This means that human judgment has to be applied to guide the
use of AI to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Another approach is to use AI as an assist mechanism and not a replacement. AI should be
employed to provide ideas, summaries, or improve productivity, but creativity, reasoning, and
judgment remain the preserve of the student. When AI is treated as an assistant and not a
replacement, effective learning is ensured as well as academic integrity.
Lastly, ethical practices should be observed in using AI. This implies the recognition of AI
contributions where necessary, proper referencing of sources, and not over-relying on AI work.
Transparency and appropriate training in the use of AI creates fairness and ensure that misuses
are avoided.
In conclusion, there are certain limitations of AI, but these can be managed through fact-
checking, reviewing the Content manually without being solely depended on the AI, the use of
AI as a supplementary tool, and strict adherence to ethical standards. Through the application of
these methods, AI is a valuable asset that enhances learning without violating academic
standards.

Part 2: Reflection
The authors should be accredited since it reflects an acknowledgment of their work, avoids
plagiarism, and allows the readers to locate the original text. Proper citing also demonstrates
respect for intellectual work in academic communities and adds credibility to my writing.
The most common academic dishonesty includes cheating in exams, plagiarism, falsification of
data, and unapproved collaboration. All these undermine fairness, devalue work done
academically, and damage the integrity of learning.
I did not use AI tools to create assignment content. Instead, I utilized the assigned readings and
library materials while I checked the grammar with ChatGPT and I rechecked it so it doesn’t add
or remove my points in order to ensure the quality of my content. AI is useful for idea generation
or proofreading, but, it also comes with certain limitations such as the potential to be biased and
possibilities of providing wrong information. Hereafter, I am going to use AI responsibly by
applying it as a supporting tool alone, ensuring that my final work is drawn from accurate
scholarly sources with proper citing and my own discretion.
Part 3: Instructor Feedback
For Unit 1 Assignment, I reviewed the instructor’s grade and feedback. The feedback
emphasized for more cautious context organization and more careful attention to APA format. I
valued this feedback because it was specific in what areas I need to work on. In the future, I will
apply these suggestions by reviewing my essay organization and my citations against APA
format before turning in future assignments.
