LOCAL ART EXHIBIT CURATION
Objective
To recognize local art forms and appreciate cultural diversity by curating an
exhibit featuring regional artists or artworks.
Task
Students will curate a mini art exhibit (physical display in school or digital via
Canva/Google Slides) showcasing contemporary artworks from their locality or
region.
Mechanics / Instructions
1. Divide the class into groups (6–8 members).
2. Each group will select a theme (e.g., “Nature and Identity,” “The Modern
Filipino,” “Regional Heritage”).
3. Collect 5–8 artworks by local artists (can be photos, digital reproductions,
or student-made pieces).
4. For each artwork, include:
o Title and artist name
o Medium and description
o Short curatorial statement (why it fits the theme)
5. Arrange the exhibit in physical form (display board, classroom corner)
6. Present the exhibit to the class as if you were museum curators.
