continent, including a headquarters in London, our state-of-the-art nearshore delivery centres in Bucharest &
Casablanca, and on-site consultants working alongside clients globally.
One of our major clients is the investment bank division of one of the world’s largest AAA Asian banking group
with more than 50,000 employees and $ 1.8 trillion in Assets-Under-Management. This client provides
sophisticated investment banking services, including equity and bond underwriting and M&A advisory services.
The bank has one of the largest customer bases in Japan and also an extensive international network covering
financial and business centres around the world, such as London, Toronto and more.
The client are currently developing an in-house-built Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) using an open-source
technology with a core architecture written in Java. The bank is looking to integrate the various in-house systems
and the vendor applications, at an enterprise level, across departments globally. As the construction and the
scope of the core architecture is progressing rapidly, the team requires additional support.
Currently, the team has about more than 40 consultants working on this application, out of which about one-
third are Phi Partners consultants. Phi are now looking for Senior Java Developers to further bolster our
Romania-based team of expert, who are currently supporting the development of this cutting-edge software
characterised by Low Latency & 100% reliability.
About This Role
You will be working on a capacity model, following a priority-based approach which will provide exposure to
various bank’s departments at an enterprise level. Specifically, you will be involved in:
• Analysis, design and development of new integration projects in a Unix and Windows environment;
• Production of detailed functional and design specifications;
• Implementation and enhancement existing application integration projects within the middleware
framework;
• Participation to the full project-cycle as well as exposure in all business areas;
• Participation in the day-to-day product problems and maintenance of the application, as needed.
Skills Required
• Strong educational background with BS/MS in computer science or equivalent;
• Extensive experience in core Java development and JEE;
• Experience in following SOLID principles as well as objected oriented analysis, in particular UML;
• Understanding of integration architecture, design skills and Enterprise Integration Process;
• Experience in Unix, Jira, JBoss, JMS, Spring, Hibernate;
• Strong knowledge of Git, Subversion, Sybase, MS SQL;
• Experience of using Junit, JMock, Cucumber;
• Experience working with multi-threading applications will be ideal, but not compulsory;
• Having experience with Investment banking is desirable, but not mandatory.
The right candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, allowing to think
clearly under pressure, and will be able to construct programs in a clear manner.
