Aim:
To design and develop an Online Student Feedback System using software engineering principles.
Objectives:
1. To understand the software development life cycle (SDLC).
2. To apply the phases of software engineering for feedback collection system.
3. To design a user-friendly interface for students and faculty.
4. To implement data storage and analysis using structured methods.
5. To generate automated reports for feedback evaluation.
Theory:
Software Engineering involves systematic development and management of software systems. The
Online Student Feedback System helps institutions collect, manage, and analyze student feedback
digitally. It follows SDLC phases including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and
maintenance. This system improves transparency and helps faculty improve teaching quality
through timely feedback.
Methodology:
1. Requirement Gathering: Identify system needs and features.
2. System Design: Create DFDs and ER diagrams.
3. Implementation: Develop frontend using HTML/PHP or Python.
4. Testing: Verify all modules work correctly.
5. Documentation: Prepare detailed project report.
Outcomes:
1. Developed a functional prototype of feedback system.
2. Understood application of SDLC models.
3. Improved software documentation and teamwork skills.
Conclusion:
The project “Online Student Feedback System” successfully demonstrates how software
engineering concepts are applied in real-world software development. It achieves the goal of
digitizing feedback collection, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and easy data analysis.
