Group Task: Event Planning
Your college is planning to organize a community event (e.g., Talent Show, Charity Run, or Food
Festival). As part of a group of 4, you are the event committee. Your task is to plan and propose the
event details, showing teamwork and clear role division.
Instructions for Group of 4 Students:
• 1. Define the Purpose and Concept of the Event: Explain why the event is being organized and
what theme or idea it will follow.
• 2. Assign Roles: Each member takes a role (e.g., Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer,
Marketing/Promotion).
• 3. Create a Simple Project Plan: List 5–7 main tasks (e.g., booking venue, promotion, logistics,
cash handling, waste management) and assign responsibility.
• 4. Budget Planning: Draft a simple budget. Estimate possible costs (venue, food, decoration,
promotion) and potential income (ticket sales, sponsorship).
• 5. Program Schedule: Outline the main activities and timeline for the event day.
• 6. Risk & Safety Considerations: Suggest at least 2 possible risks (e.g., bad weather, low
attendance) and how to handle them.
Expected Output (for submission or presentation):
• A short written Event Plan (2–3 pages) including purpose, roles, tasks, budget, schedule, and
risk management.
• A presentation (5–7 minutes) to share your event plan with the class.
■ Remember: Successful event planning requires clear objectives, teamwork, and preparation!
