Chapters: Integers, Data Handling, Simple Equations, Lines & Angles, Perimeter & Area, Symmetry

Section A – Very Short Answer (1 mark each)

1. (-8) + 6 - (-3) = 1
2. Additive inverse of -12 = 12
3. Mean of 5, 10, 15, 20 = 50/4 = 12.5
4. If x + 7 = 12, x = 5
5. Measure of a right angle = 90°

Section B – Short Answer Type (2 marks each)

6. (-7) × 5 + 12 = -23
7. Median of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 = 30
8. 3x - 4 = 8 => x = 4
9. Supplementary to 70° = 110°
10. Example of complementary angles: 30° and 60°

Section C – Short Answer Type II (3 marks each)

11. (-15) ÷ 3 + (-4) × 2 = -13
12. Mode of data = 3
13. 5x + 7 = 22 => x = 3
14. Complementary to 50° = 40°
15. Perimeter = 48 => length + breadth = 24 => breadth = 10 cm

Section D – Long Answer Type (5 marks each)

16. (-6) × [(-8) + 3] - 4 = 26

17. Daily wages: 150,200,250,150,200,300

(a) Mean = 1250/6 = 208.33 (208 1/3)
(b) Mode = 150 and 200 (bimodal)
(c) Range = 300 - 150 = 150

18. 4x - 5 = 15 => x = 5. Check: 20 - 5 = 15
