Question: Write a short explanation about Morality and Ethics. What is the role of morality
and ethics in your life as a student or as an employee? Have you faced any situations? Write
about any one of them.

Answer: Morality refers to the set of standards that enable people to live cooperatively in
groups. It's what societies determine to be right" and It's "acceptable". Sometimes, acting in a
moral manner means individuals must sacrifice their own short-term interests to benefit
society. Individuals must sacrifice their own short-term interests to benefit society.
Individuals who go against these Standards may be considered immoral. Ethics is based on
well-founded standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do in terms
of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtue. Ethics matters because –

1. It is part of how many groups define themselves and thus part of the identity of
individual members,
2. other relationships and mutual respect and trust, and
3. it could be "rational" for a self-interested person to be moral because his or her self-
interest is arguably best & served in the long run by reciprocating the moral
behavior of others.

Both morality and ethics loosely have to do with distinguishing the difference between "good
and bad" and "right or wrong". Ethics and morality are two terms that are closely related and
which individuals often tend to refer to synonymously. However, the two are different in that
while ethics are sets of principles that guide desirable behavior or conduct, morality is the
generally acceptable, behavior within a society at a given period of time. In addition,
morality, unlike ethics, Keeps on changing from time to time as society's values change.

day functioning. For example, to maintain a healthy balance between work and family life, I
might need to build up some sort of routine or schedule that could address the demands from
