5.7 Start up:
5.7.1 Before starting a CEP, the condensate system must be filled and vented (through initial
R03 filling line, by opening the valve DMV-83. Main discharge motorized valve will be in closed position
It`s bypass valve will be in opened position and Common RC valve will be in 40% opened
(adjustable) condition
5.7.2 If all the conditions envisaged above are fulfilled, the pump can be started remote manually.
When discharge pressure reaches about 15 kg/cm2(g) (sensed by pressure transmitter),
discahrge valve of the CEP shall be opened remote manually (for first pump only).
Pressure Transmitter 01LCA20CP011/CP012/CP013
Discharge valve 01LCA01/02/03 AA001
R04 5.7.3 The second pump to be started in AUTO based on flow set pont when the discharge flow
of first/running pump exceeds 800 TPH with discharge motorized valve in open condition.
5.7.4 Discharge line vent solenoid valve, tag no.s 01LCB01/02/03, AA201 shall CLOSE after
starting of pump with time delay of 2 minutes
6.0 Tripping Conditions:
The operating CEP shall be tripped when any of the following abnormal conditions exists with
an audio-visual signal
6.1 Condenser-2 hotwell level LOW LOW from level transmitters with MVN selection
KKS Tag no. 01MAG14CL013, 01MAG14CL011 & 01MAG14CL012

All other conditions envisaged in 5.0 shall be fulfilled before starting the Stand-by pump.
When the stand-by pump is kept on AUTO, it shall come into operation when any of the
following conditions occur
7.1 Running pump trips
R04 7.2 Discharge header pressure less than a pre-set value of 30 ksc for more than 5 seconds
R04 7.3 When '2' CEPs are running, and any one operating CEP is not able to contribute due to air
ingress/choked filter/ any other malfunction, in that case the other operating pump shall start
contributing more. When the other CEP's flow exceeds a set-point (say 800 TPH), then the standby
CEP shall cut-in to prevent operating CEP to go in run-out.
7.4 Whenever the running pump trips due to LOW-LOW level in condenser hot-well,
it should not be possible to start the STAND-BY pump.
7.5 Pump shall not start if the running pump trips because of run-out flow
