Handles Emergencies Better: A good plan allows buffer time for unexpected events
like illness or guests.
TIPS TO MANAGE TIME :
1) Prioritize Tasks: Decide which tasks are urgent/important. Focus on high-priority ones
first.
2) Make a Schedule: Plan your day/week. Schedule activities based on energy levels
and deadlines.
3) Use a To-Do List: Break down work into daily tasks. Keeps track and avoids
forgetting.

increases efficiency.

perfection.
11) Eliminate Time Wasters: Reduce time on TV, social media, games, etc.
12) Set Time Limits: Fix time for each task to avoid overdoing one and neglecting others.
13) Include Buffer Time: Allow breaks between tasks for rest or emergencies.

SCHEDULING (MAKING A TIME PLAN) -
Meaning :
Scheduling is planning how to use your available time effectively to achieve set goals. It
could be daily, weekly, or monthly.
🔹 Steps to Make a Time Plan -
1. List All Activities:
o Note down all tasks to be completed (daily, weekly, etc.).
2. Classify Activities:
o Flexible: e.g., shopping, walking.
o Non-Flexible: e.g., office/school timings.
3. Estimate Time Required:
o Allocate time for each task based on its importance and urgency.
4. Sequence the Activities:
o Arrange tasks in a balanced way through the day.
o Avoid overload during “peak load” periods (e.g., morning rush for
homemakers).
5. Develop Daily Time Plan:
o Put activities into a daily schedule.
o Include work, rest, meals, family time, and leisure.
🔹 Example (One Day Time Plan for Homemaker):
Time Activity
6:00 – 6:30 Morning walk
6:30 – 7:30 Cleaning & preparing children for school
8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast and house cleaning
1:00 – 2:30 Lunch preparation & family lunch
3:30 – 4:30 Helping children with studies
7:30 – 9:30 Dinner and recreation
10:00 Sleep
FACTORS AFFECTING TIME PLAN -
1. Realistic Scheduling:
o Don't overfill your day. Be honest about how much you can do.
2. Flexibility:
o Be ready to adjust schedules due to emergencies or mood/health.
3. Over-Commitment:
o Avoid saying “yes” to everything. It leads to stress and time failure.
4. Procrastination:
o Delaying important tasks drains energy and disturbs time plan.
