Chapter I
Introduction

PROBLEMS AND IT’S BACKGROUND

Marriage exists to bring a man and woman together as husband and wife To

be a father and mother to any children their union produce . it is based On

the anthropological truth that men and women are different and

Complementary, the biological fact that reproduction depends on man and A

woman , and the social reality that children need both a mother and a father.

Marriage predates government it is the fundamental building block of all

Human civilization marriage has public purposes this is why 41 states With

good reason affirm that marriage is between man and [Link] is

relationship between individuals which has formed the Foundation of the

family for most societies marriage can include Legal, social and religious

elements .

In western societies marriage has traditionally been understood as a

social Contract between a man ( husband ) and a woman ( wife ) while in

other Parts of the world polygamy has been the most common form

marriage Usually this has taken the form of polygyny ( a man having several

wives ) But some societies have practiced polyandry ( a woman having

several husband ) Recognition of same sex marriage comes the need to

reconsider the relationship Between lack of normative institutional status

and same sex relational Commitment, although legally recognized same sex

marriage does not Guarantee full societal acceptance of same- sex marriage

Theoretical Frame work

Portugal, which had permitted same-sex cohabitation since 2001, became

the eighth nation in the world and the sixth in Europe to permit same-sex

marriage in 2010. (Santos, 2013). Since 2005, Spain has had an inclusive

marriage law granting couples full equality regardless of sexual orientation

(Pichardo, 2011). In Italy, same-sex cohabitation is not permitted by law and

marriage is still completely hetero normative (Bertone et al, 2003; Saracen,

2003; Trampoline, 2008). None of the nations take into account poly

amorous couples or "living apart together" (LATs), which are new kinds of

conjugation. As a result, partnering in Southern Europe now has a variety of

statuses, possibilities, and challenges. When discussing issues pertaining to

same-sex parenthood, two major value-discourses are frequently used in

Southern European countries: "the family" value-discourse and "the kid"

value-discourse. Both of these tend to overlook the notion of family that the

LGBT movement wants (Santos, 2012). In essence, these value-discourses

are a result of the hetero-normative portrayal of the family, which is founded

on the presumption that men and women are biologically complementary

and should therefore form partnerships, engage in monogamous

relationships, and have children together (Roseneil et al, 2013). Key social

actors (such as the clergy, politicians, teachers, journalists, etc.) who

discursively communicate these ingrained cultural norms help to reinforce

them as prevailing beliefs. The three countries under examination The

debate between advocates of the individualization theory (Baum an, 2003;

Beck and Beck-Gernsheim; 2002) and those who offer a competing theory of

individualization theorists on one crucial point: we are experiencing an

unprecedented shift in the sphere of personal lives, in which 'choice' seems

important, is one of the most passionate in the current sociology of personal

lives. The importance of friendship becomes a focal point in this discussion.

Giddiness (1992) would refer to the type of willing - "confluent" - relationship

that "modern" friends have as having something to say about citizenship,

caring, and choice that scholars like Weeks et al. (2001) urge that a

Hypothesis
Scholars have long argued that population variety should act as a check on

majority rule, but there is conflicting empirical support for this theory. This

essay makes the argument that inconsistent results result from the way

academics have converted Madisonian writings into statistical analyses. It

contends that rather than directly linking demographic homogeneity with

repression, the Federalist papers actually propose an interaction relationship

in which diversity modifies the efficiency of representative institutions in

defending minority rights. The article uses a mixed-methods approach to test

for this moderating effect. It analyzes the passage of same-sex marriage

bans in American states quantitatively as well as qualitatively by looking at

legislative activity in four states.

SSSA (same-sex sexual attraction) in humans has long been thought

to be a mystery in evolutionary terms. The feature is undoubtedly biological

because it is prevalent and has a solid additive genetic foundation, but it is

still unclear how SSSA has arisen. Individuals exhibiting significant SSSA who

are predominantly or solely homosexual are assumed to have reduced

fitness and reproductive success because homosexual sexual conduct does

not produce offspring by itself. What is the process by which the trait

developed and how is it preserved in populations? Here, we create a brand-

new justification for the development of SSSA that centers on the anticipated

socially adaptive effects of SSSA. We contend that the evolution of same-sex

sexual desire was only one of several features in response to strong

selection for [Link] who self-identify as exclusively homosexual are

uncommon in most contemporary human cultures that have been studied

(Ward et al., 2014; Bailey et al., 2016), but a larger minority of the

population reports some homosexual sexual behavior and experience as well

as a degree of same sex sexual attraction (SSSA) (Bagley and Tremblay,

1998; Savin-Williams and Vrangalova, 2013; Bailey et al., 2016). Although

estimates of the prevalence and distribution of SSSA in the population vary

(Bailey et al., 2016), recent research backs up Kinsey et al(1948, .'s 1953)
finding that gay expression varies continuously throughout human

populations. The variance follows a smooth cline from a sizable majority

reporting exclusively or primarily heterosexual attraction and/or behavior to

groups reporting varying degrees of both homosexual and

Awareness of the student promoting same sex marriage

On learning Competences on promoting same sex marriage

Same-sex marriage in the Philippines remains a highly contentious issue due

to the influence of religion in this predominantly Catholic country, where it is

often framed as an issue of morality. However, the psychological

underpinnings of this religious influence still merits further exploration. Thus,

we examined the role of religious behaviors and moral foundations in

predicting attitudes toward same-sex marriage among Filipinos. Data from

385 participants revealed that the particular behavior of reading the main

sacred text of one’s religion, rather than the often- used predictor of

religious attendance predicts negative attitudes. Beyond these religious

variables, the moral foundation of Purity/ sanctity also predicts negative

attitudes. Recommendations for further research and possible implication on

attitude change are discussed in light of these findings.

The share of Americans who favor same sex-marriage grew steadily for most

of the last decade, but public support has leveled off in the last few years.

Around four-in -ten U.S. adults. (37%) favored allowing gays and lesbians to

wed in 2009, a share that rose to 62% in 2017. But views are largely

unchanged over the last few years. About six-in-ten Americans (61%)

support same-sex marriage in the most recent Pew Research Center survey.

On the issue, conducted in March 2019. Al thought support in the U.S. for

same-sex marriage has increased among nearly all demographic and

partisan divides. For example, today, 79% of Americans who are religiously

unaffiliated favor same-sex marriage, as do 66% of white mainline

Protestants and 61% of Catholics. Among white evangelical Protestants,

however, only 29% favor same-sex marriage Still, this is roughly double the

level (15%) in 2009.

William Mitchell Law Review

A myriad of benefits are bestowed by the state on legally married couples.

These benefits include parenting and custody rights, health care for partners

and dependents, bereavement leave, tax benefits, inheritance and property

tights, pensions and social security. Do-mestic partnership registration does

not give registered partners the legal benefits of marriage. However

domestic partner registration provides public recognition if important private

relationship and a mechanism through which the private sector can extend

benefits interestingly, municipalities have taken the lead in the recognition

of same-sex marriage relationship. An issue ignored by the states and denied

by the courts. In Minnesota, same-sex marriages were prohibited in.

The Minneapolis ordinance includes two resolutions: one supporting sick

and bereavement leave for city employees, the other supporting a mayoral

task force exploring diversity in necropolis families, the letter to the editor of

timothy rose, media advocate, gay and lesbian community action council,

necropolis, Minnesota printed in L.A times.

Ordinance in other cities, such those in berkely, west Hollywood and laguna

beach, california, seattle, washington, ithaca. New york, madison, wisconsin,

and tacoma park, Maryland, extend full benefits and medical insurance to

city employee. Langcope,spousal rights.

Same-sex unions in the Philippines started with lesbians in 1991 with Fr.

Richard Mickley. In Baguio City, the first recorded same sex union was

solemnized in 2003, benefiting a gay couple. (Ramo, 2011)

Last 2011, same-sex marriage ceremony officiated by pastors Mike Sotero,

Egay Constantino, Ceejay Agbayani and Regen Luna of Metropolitan

Community Church (MCC) for eight gay couples in Baguio City became an

issue. (Catajan, 2011)

Former University of the Philippines College of Law dean Pacifico Agabin said

the concept of marriage under the Family Code as a contract between a man

and a woman is obsolete. He explained that this concept, which is

considered a major stumbling block for same sex marriage in the country to

prosper, violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution. Retired

Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose Vitug believes that same sex marriage

in the country still has a long way to go. He pointed out that while the trend

worldwide is legalizing same sex marriages, the Philippines is taking the

opposite path. It is regarded as a legal partnership between male-male or

female-female relationships. (Anonymous, n.d.)

In the Philippines, same-sex marriage is considered as taboo. According to

Conde (2017), allowing same-sex marriage would enable gays and lesbians

in the Philippines to marry the person they love and would strengthen

everyone’s rights. Further, he stated that by broadening civil marriage to

couples of the same sex demonstrates respect for the fundamental rights of

equality and nondiscrimination.

Likewise, Pascual (2015) stated that same-sex marriage in the Philippines

will not happen soon due to a survey result wherein 8 out of 10 Filipinos

oppose this said union. He added that due to the Roman Catholic faith that is

predominant in the country, the proposition of a law that will cater same-sex

marriage will be a bumpy work.

Meanwhile as to Retired Supreme Court Justice Pacifico Agabin as reported

by Rosero (2015), the Family Code of the Philippines needed updating,

especially its provisions on marriage. He expounded that concept of

marriage as a contract between a man and a woman aside from being

obsolete, violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution. He

concluded that by barring the lesbians, the gays, the transsexuals and

homosexuals from the civil right to marry would violate the guarantee of

equal.

Joey Cho

LGBT/ same-sex marriage is one of the most heated and controversial debates

in our current society. Unlike the past thousands of years whereas marriage

was defined as a legal union between a man and a woman, now the concept

of marriage has been extended to a broader context. “Homosexuality” in most

cultures is viewed as a disgrace, and it is often considered as a great sin from

a religious aspect. But now our society has evolved, we gained clarity and
reasons. We are now able to acknowledge and accept people who are

different whereas we use to enslave and discriminate people who were a little

different. But still, it seems we have a long way to…show more content…

I only seem liberal because I believe that hurricanes are caused by intense

low-pressure areas that form over warm ocean waters in the summer and

early fall and not by gay marriage”. By legalizing LGBT same-sex marriage the

world will not collapse into complete catastrophe. It is funny and just absurd at

the same to see people who are going against the legalization of LGBT

marriage. Legalizing LGBT/ same-sex marriage is no difference from

abolishing slavery or any other form of segregations; LGBT community are the

oppressed minorities. Their rights are being denied as everybody else just

because they are different. People once used to enslaved people and abused

people who simply had different skin tones; they were not conceived as

human under the law. Now as history has shown us, that wasn’t justice. In

every civil rights conflict we are only able to recognize the just point of view

years after the fact and when the next conflict comes along we are blind once

again. (Amanda) As I’m writing down this paper we are repeating history once

in for all. LGBT communities are just HUMANS who are…

My second reason for supporting LGBT/ same-sex marriage is the reason for

discrimination against marriage. The UDHR article number 7 illustrates that all

people are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination.

Furthermore, article 1 of the UDHR also indicates that all human beings are

born free and equal in dignity and rights. We should act towards one another
in a spirit of a brother. By denying the same right as anybody else just

because you are different is a clear form of discrimination, and it goes against

the constitution. Marriage is a contract between two people and honestly I

think that the society should not be interfering this bond. Not permitting the

right to marry another human is a severe violation of the human rights and

freedom. James Carville “I was against gay marriage until I realized that I

didn’t have one.” The statement is self-explanatory: “You don’t get to judge

because you don’t have the

Alexis De Tocqueville

In the DeLeon v. Perry same sex marriage case we learned of the diversity

and disparity in individual rights. As of recent, same sex marriage has become

a major issue in the United States and the development of equality for all.

Although there are many opposed to same sex marriage suggesting the

validity of constitutionality not one individual is against the due process of

law. The due process of law is derived from the 5th and 14th Amendments

and were established to protect individuals civil liberties and basic rights to

life. Alexis de Tocqueville speaks of the spirit of the law affecting change and

development. De Tocqueville describes the law man to be constantly evolving

to adhere to societal needs and expectations of justice and equality. On the

spectrum of those opposed to same sex marriage, the major argumentative

stance is to declare same sex marriage unconstitutional in that a marriage is

only between a man and a woman. De Tocqueville sheds some foresight on

the changes of the collective society in influences on law making. Law…show

Perry we see the issue regarding the major political issue of the legalization of

same-sex marriages. While some individuals rebuke or chastise

homosexuality, other individuals will embrace it as just another aspect of life a

average norm to be. We must questions the reason for the early

determination of same sex marriage constitutionality. When it comes down to

it, our society is just making it illegal for people that live their lives differently

from the majority of us. It is inequitable for our government to decide on

whether or not homosexuals can be married. Everyone should be able to

receive the same benefits and acceptance regardless of their sexuality so

granting legal marriage rights under the law must extend to gays and lesbians

to ensure that all citizens enjoy full human

The future of same-sex marriage has long been a question in the United

States; on June 26, 2015, under the U.S. Supreme Court decision of Obergefell

v. Hodges, the country finally got an answer. In a five to four decision, the

Supreme court determined that under the Fourteenth Amendment, marriage

between same- sex couples is legal in all fifty states. Under this decision,

states that had previously banned same-sex marriage will have to recognize

and permit same-sex marriage within their boundaries. The U.S. Supreme

Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges is a landmark decision that will not

affect same-sex couples throughout the nation, but also every aspect of our

society. Having been hired by a sociologist who wants to study the effect of
In the article, “An Appeal to Maryland Voters, for my Mom”, the author

Chrysovalantis P. Kefalas, shows how his argument on why the ruling of the

Defense of Marriage Act to be unconstitutional, is justified. Kefalas defends

this action this action to show that despite religious views, authorities and

laws should not hinder others from happiness and living a life that they desire.

His argument take words directly from a widely used source to show that

there is reason on both the sides of the law, and religion. He appeals to the

Audience’s emotions by describing personal afflictions with himself and the

beliefs he once had, and how his situation has affected his life as well as his

family. His use of Ethos, Pathos and Logos give his argument a natural

balance that can be seen from both sides, making it strong and effective

“I have tried to see not differently but further…”(Tocqueville, 1835) was Alexis

de Tocqueville’s conclusion to the introduction of his perennial classic text

Democracy in America, and adumbrates to the reader of his modern ideas and

observations that were to follow. At the same time, he measures the progress

of society through its relationship with equality and liberty. In this paper, I will

highlight Tocqueville’s use of equality and liberty to compare the past and the

modern, and establish his views on the effects of these concepts with society

and each other. Finally, I will put forth that Tocqueville does not favour one

concept over the other, but notes the complex relationship between the two

and the importance of the co-existence of liberty and equality for a society of

people In spite of the fact that a privilege to marry is not listed in the

Constitution, the Court said that such a privilege is covered under the
Fourteenth Amendment in light of the fact that such choices are vital to our

survival and our values. Accordingly, they should essentially reside with the

individual instead of with the state. This choice is a conflict with the popular

argument that something cannot be an actual constitutional right unless it is

spelled out straightforwardly in the U.S. Constitution. It additionally stands out

amongst the most imperative models on the general thought of common

uniformity, clarifying that essential social equality is basic to our reality and

cannot really be restricted on the grounds that a few people trust that their

god can 't help

Liberals support same-sex marriage and argue that love is grounds enough for

marriage, regardless of sexual orientation. Conservatives are usually opposed

and often cite religious viewpoints and concerns about the reading of children

as the main reasons for their opposition. In the 1970s the court case Baker v.

Nelson occurred. It was a case in which the Minnesota Supreme Court ruled

that a state law limiting marriage to persons of the opposite sex did not

violate the U.S. Constitution. On June 26, 2015 the United States Supreme

Court legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 state

A brochure for “Reminder Day” expressed that homosexuals were often not

treated as equals and that the Federal, state and local governments have

shown bias towards these individuals. Although some religions would perceive

homosexuality as a sin, the individuals are still human and should be given

the same opportunities as the rest of the population. In the past, the
Declaration of Independence promised natural rights for all men, but some

rights were not realized for minority groups. Over time, parts of the

Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were revoked and amended

so that in today’s world, all “men”, including women and minority groups, all

have the same rights.

But one of the important issues discussed in hot debates is the Gay marriage

that has recently been permitted in the States. This was a real change in the

whole country; many people welcomed the idea because they believe in total

freedom of the human being and citizens’ liberties. But other groups mostly

coming from religious backgrounds stood against what has been restructured

in the amendment concerning this point. The debate will never come to an

end simply because proponents and opponents will see it from different

angles and no one will decide who is right and who is

Matthew Feeler Political Science 101 M/W Byron 11/17/16 Midterm: Question 1

The 14th Amendment was created after the civil war in 1868 and the

underlying premise of the amendment gives equal protection and rights to

slaves. This main idea was obviously the cause of the civil war and gaining

freedom from slaves. Although, another part of the Amendment was what is

known as the “due process” in which citizens are granted rights to life, liberty,

and property. A huge topic of controversy for years has been the idea of

same-sex couples being able to marry, and recently in 2015 the supreme
court ruled that same sex marriage is legal which to some was very surprising,

although some believe that with the 14th amendment, this is a right that

should

This case began when officers were responding to a weapons disturbance on a

private residence. When the police entered petitioner Lawrence’s apartment,

they witnessed him and another male, petitioner Garner, engaging in

consensual sexual act. Both petitioners were arrested and convicted of

deviate sexual intercourse, which was in violation of the Texas statute that

forbade two people of the same sex to to engage in certain intimate sexual

conduct. The State Court of Appeals held the sentence and said that the

statute was not unconstitutional under the Due Process Clause of the

fourteenth amendment. The court had considered a case, Bowers v. Hardwick,

478 U.S. 186, pushing the point across.

Obergefell V. Hodges (2005)

Hodges (2015) the Supreme Court held that the Due Process Clause of the

Fourteenth Amendment guarantees the right to marry as one of the

fundamental liberties it protects, applying to same-sex couples the same as

opposite-sex couples. This case was brought forward by numerous groups of

same-sex couples who were suing their relevant state agencies to challenge

the constitutionality of those states’ same-sex marriage laws. The Supreme

Court found that there is no difference between same-sex marriages and

opposite-sex marriages, therefore, the exclusion of same-sex couples from the

right to marry violates the Due Process Clause. This is policy making because

the Supreme Court forced states to change their laws by deciding that it was

against the constitution to not only ban the recognition of same-sex marriages

that occurred in states that allowed it, but also making same-sex marriage

legal in all states. Government officials even those who do not believe in the

law change must abide by it, by allowing same-sex couples their now legal

right to be married and receive the benefits that opposite-sex married couples

receive; changing the way that citizens and the government interact in

societal ways but also financia

De Tocqueville does 't view liberty as an attribute part of the democratic era.

He believes that the only character that is associated with this era is equality.

He explains in his theory that people of this era prize equality over liberty,

although he does 't deny that democratic people value liberty, because

everyone can take part in it and enjoy it effortlessly, as opposed to liberty

where you have to "sacrifice" to achieve it (De Tocqueville, 1835). He holds

that equality creates individualism, which means people separate themselves

from one another, their ancestors and the future generations, that leads to

tyranny and despotism. On the contrary, he claims that during the aristocratic

ages, people were not selfish and careless about others ' needs because

"aristocracy links everybody, from peasant to king" (De Tocqueville, 1835).

Marx, equally, believes that the outcome of industrial capitalism is alienation

of the proletariat, the working class, from their social.

Marriage equality is “the state of having the same rights and responsibilities

of marriage as others, regardless of one’s sexual orientation or gender

identity” ([Link]). Full marriage equality became a reality on June

26, 2015, in the United States after the Supreme Court decision in Obergefell

v. Hodges. In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled that the 14th Amendment

requires that all 50 states both license marriage for same-sex couples and

recognize licences for same-sex marraiges that are issued out of state. Since

then, almost 300,000 same-sex couples have married and become eligible

for the same state and federal benefits tied to marriage. However, same-sex

couples still face challenges in obtaining a marriage license in certain states

and continue to be discriminated against. Teaching students about marriage

equality is important because the legal right to marry whom one chooses is a

fundamental human right.

Significance of the study

Definition of term

Same-sex marriage the practise of marriage between two men oe women.

Although same-sex marriage has been regulated through law, religion, and

custom in most countries of the world, legal and social responses have

ranged from celebration on the one hand to criminalization on the other.

Some scholar, most notably the yale professor and historian jonh boswell

(1947-94), have argued that same sex unions were recognized by the Roman

Catholic church in Medieval Europe, although other other have disputed This

claim. Scholar and the general public became increasingly interested in the

sexuality and laws regulating home sexual behavior were liberalized,

particularly in western Europe and the United stares.

For example, today, 79% of Americans who are religiously unaffilated favor

same-sex marriage, as do 66% of white mainline Protestants and 61% of

Catholics. Among white evangelical Protestants, however, only 29% favor

same-sex marriage Still, this is roughly double the level (15%) in 2009.

Problem-solving skills most probability samples used to study individuals

in same-sex relationship have not been designed to asses relationship

dynamics or ther psychosocial varibales ( e.g social support, stress ) that

influence relationship; thus these data sets do not include measures specific

to same-sex couples.

Chapter II

METHODOLOGY

The Pew Research Center's own coding process was used to extract

information about coverage in the main news media sample, the Huffing ton

Post, and LGBT publications.

Research Design

The development of family theory and research is inextricably impacted by

the shifting patterns of family life across time. The tools and data used to
study cohabiting couples, for instance, have significantly improved over the

past ten years as the number of people who do so has increased (Kroeger &

Smock, 2014). There are several indications that the data and study on

same-sex partnerships may significantly advance in the near future. First,

there are a lot of people who are in same-sex relationships; recent data from

the U.S. According to the census, there are approximately 650,000 same-sex

couples living in the country, 114,100 of which are legally married, and

another 108,600 are involved in some other type of legally recognized

partnership (Gates, 2013b). This article is divided into three main sections.

First, we give a quick summary of recent research and statistics on same-sex

relationships, highlighting the differences between studies that focus on

same-sex individuals and those that focus on same-sex couples (i.e., dyads).

Despite the fact that these two methods address different types of questions,

they are frequently confused. By contrasting people in same-sex

relationships with people in other relationship statuses, for instance, studies

of individuals can determine a health benefits of being in a same-sex

relationship, whereas studies of couples allow researchers to look at how

same-sex partners compare to different-sex partners in influencing each

other's health. In the second section, we discuss typical methodological

issues that arise in studies of same-sex relationships as well as solutions to

these issues. We anticipate that this paper will promote future research on

same-sex partnerships by incorporating a variety of viewpoints and

methodologies in the study of same-sex relationships. Our main focus is on

data issues and methodological approaches; while we go into individual

study details, the present article is not meant to be a thorough review of

research findings on same-sex relationships. We recommend the following

excellent assessments of studies on same-sex partnerships to readers (see,

e.g., Kurdek, 2005; Moore & Stambolis-Ruhstorfer, 2013; Patterson, 2000;

Peplau & Fingerhut, 2007; Rothblum, 2009).

Respondent and Sampling Technique

The respondents of this study are the grade 12 students of Cotabato State

University -University Laboratory school. The grade 12 students were divided

into five sections and each section had different ratio or number of students,

all in all there were 250 students population in the grade 12. Therefore, the

respondents of the study are the grade 12 - STEM D students which the total

population is 50 out of 250 students.

Locale of the study

This study was conducted at Cotabato State University – Laboratory High

School. It is located at Rosary Heights 4, Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City,

Philippines. It started its operation in June 1989 with two sections in the first

year. It offers a general secondary curriculum

Research Instrument

The researcher will use one research instrument in the study. The researcher

will use an semi- structure interview which is used when the researcher have

a list of broad questions that must be addressed in the interview. The

researcher will use a written interview guide to make sure that every

question areas are covered (Polit & Beck 2012). Furthermore, The researcher

will use pen and paper to note in details the respondents non-verbal gesture

an audio record will be utilized in order to record spontaneous responses,

along with the use of webcam(skype) and the actual verbatims since semi

structured interview may develop unexpected responses

Data Gathering Procedure

Survey questionnaires were given to the senior high school students

cotabato state university - university laboratory school. The researchers will

distributes their survey paper to the respondents through face to face in

order to gather the relevant data.

In the process of distribution of survey questionnaire through face to

face. The researchers will distribute their survey paper to the selected

students of senior high school in cotabato state university-university

laboratory school. It was then followed by the distribution of permission

letters to the dean of conduct to the study.

A date has been chosen and identified for the schedule to conduct a

survey.

Data Analysis

A growing number of governments around the world are considering whether

to grant legal recognition to same-sex marriage. So far, 30 countries and

territories have enacted national laws allowing gays and lesbian to marry,

mostly in Europe and the Americas. In Mexico, some jurisdictions allow

same-sex couple to [Link] others do not.

The descriptive statistic will be used to organized and analyzed the

data collected in this study through simple percentage, which is the number

of each people response divided by the sum of all that responded to the item

multiplied by hundred. The number of the respondent now will be counted

from each item which will be the obtained score.
