Job Description

Join a leading-edge team at the forefront of the Smart Edge revolution, where
cutting-edge Silicon and Software solutions power devices to connect, sense, and
infer.
About the Role:

As part of the Wireless Internet of Things Business Unit (WIoT BU), you will play a
critical role in shaping the future of connected devices. This position offers the
opportunity to work with advanced wireless technologies including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi,
UWB, and 5G Cellular IoT—integrated into billions of devices worldwide.
You will be part of the Signal Processing Team, focusing on the research and
development of algorithms for next-generation Wi-Fi technology. The team develops
advanced Wi-Fi 7 and Wi-Fi 8 transceivers using state-of-the-art communication and
signal processing technologies such as MIMO-OFDMA, MU-MIMO, Beamforming,
Sensing, Ranging, and Localization.
Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work within an agile team, developing signal processing
algorithm solutions from conceptualization to detailed fixed-point link simulations.
You will collaborate closely with implementation, verification, and lab validation
teams to deliver a high-performance Wi-Fi transceiver. Key responsibilities include:

 Designing algorithms for transceiver synchronization and demodulation,

including AGC, time/frequency synchronization, channel estimation, frequency
offset compensation, equalization/MIMO detection, and channel decoding
 Conducting algorithm performance analysis via link-level simulations

 Preparing fixed-point specifications for RTL implementation

 Developing bit- and cycle-accurate models

 Supporting RTL verification and hardware lab validation

 Staying up to date with the latest wireless standards

 Applying for patents on innovative ideas

Requirements:

 PhD or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal

Processing
 Strong background in digital communications algorithm design
 Proficiency in MATLAB
 Experience in link-level simulation, including fixed-point specification and bit-
accurate modeling
 Strong team collaboration and communication skills
 Innovative thinking and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications:

 Experience with WLAN IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.15.4, or similar

wireless standards

 Familiarity with signal processing for MIMO OFDM systems is highly desirable
