1) The area of a rectangular region is 2000 square meters. If the length is reduced by 10 meters, it
becomes a square region.
a) If the length of a diagonal of a rhombus with the area of 54 cm² is 9 cm, then 2
determine the length of other diagonal.
b) Determine the length of the diagonal of the rectangular region. 4
c) Find the area of the whole surface and the volume of the solid formed by a 4
complete revolution of the rectangular region about its greater side.
2) i) When the length of each side of an equilateral triangle is increased by 7 m, its area is
increased by 35√3 sq.m.
ii) The perimeter of a rhombus is 176 cm and the larger diagonal is 70 cm.
a) The length of the two sides of a triangle are 8 cm and 9 cm respectively and the 2
angle included between them is 60°. Find the area of the triangle.
b) Find the other diagonal and the area of the rhombus. 4
c) Find the area of the equilateral triangle. 4
3) i) Circumference of a circle is 340 cm.
ii) The length of two parallel sides of a trapezium are 37 cm and 25 cm respectively.
a) If the whole surface area of a cube is 294 sq. m, then find the length of the 2
diagonal of it.
b) In light of the stem find the area of the square which is inscribed in a circle. 4
c) If length of other two sides of a trapezium are 10 cm and 14 cm respectively, then 4
find the area.
