SCENARIO 1 “COMPLIMENT”
SCENE 1 – ESCALATOR
(Mall, busy crowd. Escalator: SHEKINAH with ALTHEA pababa. CYRIL with RUDOLF paakyat.
Soft background mall music. They spot each other.)
CAMERA: Wide shot (slowly zooms on Girl and Guy locking eyes)
CYRIL (half-smile, trying to act cool pero halatang kinikilig)
RUDOLF (kay CYRIL) (nudges him): Uy bro, kanina ka pa nakatitig dun sa girl ah.
CYRIL (shrugs, pero smirks): Eh ano naman… ang ganda niya eh.
(Cut to Girl’s side, giggles with friend.)
ALTHEA (kay SHEKINAH) (teasing tone): Uy, nakita mo yun? Nakatingin siya sayo!
SHEKINAH (blushing, tries to brush off): Stop it, baka nagkataon lang.
(Both look back at each other bago bumaba/umakyat ang escalator.)
SCENE 2 – NATIONAL BOOKSTORE
(Mall, National Bookstore. SHEKINAH AND ALTHEA are browsing pens and rulers. CYRIL with his
friend RUDOLF nasa kabilang aisle looking at books. Nagkasalubong sila sa stationary
section. Both groups pretend to browse pero halatang nagkakatinginan.)
CAMERA: Over-the-shelf shot (CYRIL peeking sa pagitan ng mga books, SHEKINAH catches
him.)
RUDOLF (kay CYRIL, whispering habang kunwari nagbabasa ng back cover ng libro): Uy
bro… chance mo na ‘to. Sabihin mo na, bago mawala yung girl.
CYRIL (holding a random notebook, trying to act casual pero kinakabahan): Chill lang…
kailangan perfect timing.
(Cut to SHEKINA’s side. She’s pretending to check pens pero napansin niya si CYRIL na
parang gustong magsalita. Nag-smile siya ng konti, parang inaabangan kung lalapit.)
ALTHEA (kay SHEKINAH, teasing, habang may hawak na ruler): Oh, tingnan mo o, nakatingin
na naman siya. Baka ikaw ang binabalikan niya dito sa bookstore, hindi yung libro.
SHEKINAH (smiling shyly, whispers back): Shhh, baka marinig tayo!
(CYRIL slowly takes one step forward, parang lalapit na. Pero biglang may mga dumating na
customers sa aisle kaya hindi siya nakalapit kay SHEKINAH)
CYRIL (half-whisper, sabay buntong-hininga habang tinitingnan yung notebook): Hay naku…
sayang. Di ko pa rin nasabi.
(Naka stay pa rin camera kay CYRIL while holding the notebook, then cuts to Scene 3 –
Cinema Lobby.)
SCENE 3 – CINEMA LOBBY
(Crowded cinema lobby. Groups of people lining up for snacks and tickets. SHEKINAH waits
for her friend near entrance. CYRIL suddenly ends up a few steps beside her. Both notice
each other again.)
CAMERA: Over-the-shoulder shots, then close-up on their nervous smiles.
(CYRIL takes a deep breath, steps closer)
CYRIL (sincere smile, soft tone): Alam mo… ang ganda mo. Bagay na bagay sayo yung
makeup mo.
SHEKINAH (surprised, blushing, softly smiles): Thank you…
(Music volume rises, parang climax ng romantic confession scene.)
CYRIL (pa-cute, tilts head, then suddenly playful tone): Pero girl… ano shade ng blush mo?
Ang ganda, in fairness.
SHEKINAH (confused, half-laughing): H-ha? Shade ng blush?
CYRIL (laughs out loud, confidently): Yes, sis! Hindi tayo talo! I’m gay. Compliment lang
talaga ‘to.
(Girl bursts out laughing, relief and surprise)
SHEKINAH (still giggling, playful slap sa arm ni CYRIL): Grabe ka! Pero thank you ha, nakaka-
boost ng confidence yun.
CYRIL (snaps fingers, diva pose): Alam mo na, support lang sa kapwa maganda.
(Friends from both sides call them. They wave goodbye. Camera pans up to cinema screen,
Fade to black.)
SCENARIO 2 “FORGOTTEN BUT FOUND”
SCENE 1 – ARCADE ENTRANCE
(Group of friends enter, excited. ERICH tahimik, carrying everyone’s bags.)
MELLIYAH (excited): Dito tayo sa basketball game!
REYMHEL: ERICH, ikaw na magbantay ng bags. Para makapaglaro kami agad.
ERICH (hesitant, but nods): Sige…
(Friends rush off. ERICH left standing, struggling to carry the bags.)
SCENE 2 – CLAW MACHINE AREA
(ERICH sets the bags down, watching other people play. CRISTINE is at the claw machine.
CRISTINE notices ERICH alone.)
CRISTINE (approaches): Hi… ikaw lang mag-isa?
ERICH (small smile): Hindi… may mga kasama ako. Pero sila, busy maglaro. Ako lang lagi
tagabantay ng gamit.
CRISTINE (frowns): Hala, sayang naman. Gusto mo, laro ka na lang with me?
(Girl looks surprised but nods. CRISTINE introduces herself to ERICH)
CRISTINE: By the way, im CRISTINE Pwede ka sumama sakin, mas masaya ‘pag may kasama.
SCENE 3 – PLAYING TOGETHER
(ERICH and CRISTINE, starts playing a claw machine. Girl laughs genuinely for the first time.
CRISTINE cheered for ERICH’S turn. ERICH is finally having fun.)
(AT THE BASKETBALL GAME)
CRISTINE (cheering): Go ERICH! Ang galing mo pala!
ERICH (laughing): Haha, ngayon lang ako nakalaro ulit. Ang saya pala.
(They move to other machines. ERICH’S laughter stands out.)
SCENE 4 – CONTRAST
(Cut to ERICH’s old friends na naglalaro, not noticing she’s gone. They laugh and take selfies,
totally forgetting about her.)
RHEYMEL: Uy, nasaan na si Girl?
MELLIYAH (shrugs): Ewan. Basta nandyan lang siguro, bantay ng gamit.
(They go back to playing, unconcerned.)
SCENE 5 – FINAL SCENE
(Meanwhile, ERICH sings karaoke happily with CRISTINE.)
CRISTINE (smiling): Kita mo? Hindi ka invisible. You just needed the right people to play with.
ERICH (softly, smiling): Oo nga… thank you.
(Camera shows ERICH laughing happily with her new friend, while her old friends are blurred
in the background, still forgetting her. Arcade lights flash, happy music in the background.
Fade out.)
