📝 Basic Operating Procedures

The following is the general operating procedure for electrical safety performance comprehensive
testers, incorporating characteristics of Yidi equipment:

1. Power On & Self-Test

· Connect the power supply and turn on the device using the power switch on the panel.
· After startup, the instrument usually undergoes a delayed self-test process (approx. 5
seconds). Ensure no Equipment Under Test (EUT) is connected to the test terminal box before the
self-test begins.
2. Select Test Group & Set Parameters
· Yidi testers typically support multiple test presets (e.g., 50 or 99 groups). You can select the
desired test group using the "MEMORY" key on the panel or via the software interface.
· After entering the selected test group, you need to set specific parameters for different test
items (e.g., Grounding, Insulation, Withstand Voltage, Leakage Current, Power, etc.), including
test voltage, current limit (upper bound), test time, etc. For example:
· Grounding Resistance: Might be set to 25A, ≤0.1Ω, for 1 second.
· AC Withstand Voltage: For products with a 220V operating voltage, the test voltage might be
set to 1800V, current limit 10mA, for 1 second.
· Leakage Current: For a 220V operating voltage, the test voltage might be 233V, current limit
≤1.5mA, for 2 seconds.
· Some models support setting the test sequence and linking, meaning the next test proceeds
only after the previous one passes.
3. Connect the Equipment Under Test (EUT)
· Insert the power plug of the EUT into the socket on the tester's terminal box.
· Use the test clip to clamp onto the exposed metal casing of the EUT for tests like grounding
resistance. Ensure connection is made to bare metal, not paint or insulation.
4. Start Test
· Press the Start button (may be on the panel or a remote control box) to begin testing.
· During the test, the instrument will execute the set test items sequentially. The interface will
display real-time data and results (Pass is often indicated by "√", Fail by "×").
5. Result Judgment & Handling
· Upon test completion, the instrument indicates the result via indicator lights or sound. For
example, an "A Fail light" or "B Fail light" illuminates, indicating a product failure at the
corresponding station.
· If a single test item fails, the tester can be configured to either Stop and Alarm or Continue
with subsequent tests.
6. Power Off
· After testing, first press the Stop key to exit the test state, then remove the EUT, and finally
turn off the instrument power. Note: Repeated rapid power cycling is prohibited; allow at least 10
seconds between power cycles.

🔌 Wiring Methods & Test Modes

· Basic Wiring: Generally requires connecting the following parts:
· Instrument Power Supply: Connect to 220V AC mains.
· Test Input & Function Terminals: Used for measuring leakage, power, etc.
· Mechanical Test Box: Connect the Equipment Under Test.
· External devices like alarm lights, foot switches, etc.
· AB Socket Dual-Channel Test Mode: Supported by some Yidi models for high efficiency.
· In this mode, stations A and B can simultaneously test different items. For example, while
Socket A tests Grounding, Leakage, and Power, Socket B can test Insulation and Withstand
Voltage.
· After both stations pass, the test items automatically switch, significantly improving production
efficiency.

⚠️Safety Operating Regulations

When operating such high-voltage test equipment, strict adherence to safety regulations is
mandatory:

· Power Check: Ensure the tester and the EUT use intact, properly rated fixed sockets. Replace
damaged sockets promptly.
· Electric Shock Prevention: Strictly prohibit personnel from physically touching energized parts of
the instrument or the casing of the EUT during testing. When performing high-voltage verification
work, wear insulating gloves and insulating shoes.
· Operation Intervals: After prolonged operation (e.g., 24 hours), it is recommended to power off
the device for over 10 minutes to allow it to rest.
· Daily Inspection: Before each use, inspect power cords, high-voltage cables, and test clips for
damage, cracks, or breaks. Do not use if any are found.
· Environmental Requirements: Maintain a working environment free from gases, vapors,
chemical dust, etc., that severely affect insulation. Do not use outdoors on rainy or foggy days.

🔧 Maintenance & Care

· Cleaning: Wipe the instrument surface with a soft cloth and neutral cleaner after each shift.
Always disconnect the power before cleaning.
· Storage: The instrument should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area free from corrosive
gases.
