Q26. Find the HCF and LCM of 144 and 198 using the prime factorisation method.

Q29. A card is drawn at random from a pack of 52 cards. Find the probability that it is (i) a black

Q30. Draw a pair of tangents to a circle of radius 3 cm which are inclined to each other at an angle
of 60°. Write the steps of construction.
Q31. The marks obtained by 40 students in a test are given below. Find the mean marks using the

Q35. A motorboat, whose speed is 18 km/h in still water, goes 10 km downstream and back in 3
hours. Find the speed of the stream.

Q36. Case Study – Polynomials: A farmer wishes to build a rectangular pen for sheep such that the
area of the pen is represented by the polynomial 6x² + 17x + 5. (i) Express the area in factored
form. (ii) Find the possible dimensions of the pen. (iii) Verify the product of the dimensions equals
the area.
Q37. Case Study – Circles: A toy is in the form of two cones joined at their bases. The radius of
each cone is 7 cm and height is 24 cm. A sphere of radius 7 cm is placed inside the toy. (i) Draw a
rough sketch. (ii) Find the volume of the toy. (iii) Find the volume of the sphere. (iv) Find the
remaining volume of the toy after placing the sphere.
Q38. Case Study – Statistics: A survey was conducted on 120 families of a village regarding the
number of children they had. Children: 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 Families: 10 | 20 | 40 | 30 | 15 | 5 (i) Draw a
bar graph. (ii) Find the probability that a randomly chosen family has (a) 2 children (b) more than 3
children.
