Restrictions in use
Use this product with attention to safety design of whole system by fail safety design
or redundant design to sustain reliability and safety of whole system in case of being

Introduction
A user on this document needs administrator rights.
Note It may be demanded the administrator rights on some procedures.
Restriction
[Link] case of serial connection, “??” may be printed when recovered from Sleep or hibernation mode
on start-up of OP.
[Link] Windows on mode of [enable detail print function] of printer driver [detail setting]
(EMF Spool configuration)
[Link] is not guaranteed under multi-user environment of Windows.
4. Reserved name of resource
Shared memory： Global¥¥SHMEM/ <printer name> /monitor/status
Shared memory： Global¥¥SHMEM/ <printer name> /log
Each printer name is inserted in a part of <printer name> in this name.
5. In case multi-printer drivers are allocated to he same port, the accurate status is not acquired.
6. The driver set up is conducted by a user with the administrator rights.
7. The data may not exist in case the file is opened during output to log file in generated log file.
8. There is a log function of IN/OUT to port, but it does not guarantee input/output.
9. With using 64bit OS, It is necessary to use [Link] for uninstallation of the printer driver,
then, stores NPI_UnInstaller.exe and [Link] in the same folder.
10. In serial communication, if printer’s power OFF/ON (including software reset) is repeated,
it may be judged as OFF line tentatively.
11. Some of configurable items in this driver may not be supported as printer.
12. The Administrator rights is necessary to use NPI_UnInstaller.exe.
13. When printer driver was deleted by “NPI_UnInstaller.exe,” after rebooting, it may become the condition
that installed printer driver again. If this problem occurs, delete the device from “devices and printers”
and also delete the driver from server properties.
14. Restart PC before reinstalling this driver.
15. Be noted that multiple printers cannot be used with Bluetooth connection or combination of Bluetooth
and COM connection.
Confirmation before installation
Prepare as follows before installation.
• If printer is connected
• If printer is connected properly
• preparation of life (decompress if compressed)

・In case of connecting USB
Connect printer to pc by following steps.
1). Turn on power of PC
2). Turn on power of printer
3). Connect to PC after completion of rebooting printer.
4). Open [ Device and Printer] dialogue.
Model name (E.g.: NII W2K203DPI USB ) is showed on the Unspecified field.

5). Select the model on the unspecified field, Right click and select Property.

6). Select [Hardware] tag and click [Property] button.

It is impossible to set up, If the host dose not recognize correctly
Note the Universal Serial Bus controller and other devices. Then, please
try to pull out and insert the cable to recognize the devices, correctly.
* If you can not open the property window, then, Please refer to
“ Reference: If the property window dose not open”.

7). Click [Setting change] button of [General] tag.

9). Select the paragraph as [Search a driver software with reference to a computer].

10). Check [Search the subfolder] and designate the folder that contain Printer driver set up file.
After that click [Next].

12). Click [Close] button, after complete the printer driver installation normally.

Reference If the Properties window dose not open
1). Click [Device manager] button of [Control panel ¥ Hardware and Sound ¥ Device and Printer].

2). Select a model name (E.g. NIINP-T320) from [Other Devices] , right click and select [Property].

3). If you can open [Property] dialogue, then, continue to install from 8). of P5.

・ Serial (COM) connection.
Connect the printer by following procedure.
1). Turn on the PC.
2). Turn on the Printer.
3). Connect to PC after completion of booting printer.
4). Open [Device and Printer]
5). Click to Add the printer

Please use Inter link type Serial cable for this printer driver. Some of the printer is
Note for Cross type serial cable. Please check each Product Specifications of the printer
and use the proper cable.

13). To start installation of the driver.

16). Reboot the PC.
Installation is completed.
Reference Uncheck the check box of [Printer to usually use], if you do not
set the printer to usually use.
Reference To print the test page, Please click to the button of [Test page printing] .

Connect the printer by following procedure.
1). Turn on the PC.
2). Turn on the Printer.
3). Connect to PC after completion of booting printer.

2. Uninstallation procedure
・Uninstallation
1). Activate “NPI UnInstall” in the folder by administrator.
2). Select the driver to delete and click [Target UnInstall].

3). Please confirm that a letter of [Finish!!] was displayed.

4). Reboot the PC.
Uninstallation is completed.
