Tips for taking the Test

Use the right pencil – Usually a No. 2 (or HB) pencil is required. Avoid pens or
colored pencils.

Shade completely – Fill in the circle fully and evenly. Don’t leave white spots.

Avoid light shading – Make sure your mark is dark enough for the scanner to detect.

Erase cleanly – If you change your answer, erase the old shade completely. Smudges
may be read as multiple answers.

Stay within the circle – Don’t go outside the lines, as scanners might not read it
properly.

Don’t fold or crumple the sheet – Damage can interfere with machine reading.

Work systematically – Shade answers as you go to avoid skipping items by mistake.

Double-check the number – Make sure your answer matches the correct question
number.

Keep your sheet clean – No extra marks, doodles, or stray lines.

Practice neatness – Before the test, try shading sample circles quickly and neatly to
get used to it.
