1. What is Process Writing?


Process writing is a type of writing that explains how something is done, made, or works. It
describes steps in a logical order so the reader can understand or follow them.

It is usually written in steps (first, next, then, finally).

It often uses the present tense.

It can be written in paragraph form or in numbered steps.

2. Structure of a Process Paragraph


1. Topic Sentence – introduces the process.
Example: Making tea is very simple if you follow these steps.

2. Supporting Sentences – describe the steps in order. Use sequence words: first, second,
then, after that, finally.

3. Concluding Sentence – sums up the process or gives a final thought.


Example: Now, your tea is ready to drink.

How to Make Tea


Making tea is very simple if you follow these steps. First, boil some water in a kettle. Next,

minutes until the tea becomes strong. Finally, add sugar or milk if you like. Now, your tea is
ready to drink.

How to Wash Your Hands


Washing hands is important to keep healthy. First, turn on the tap and wet your hands with
clean water. Second, apply soap to your hands. Then, rub your hands together for at least
twenty seconds. After that, rinse your hands with clean water. Finally, dry your hands with a
towel or air dryer. Clean hands help protect you from germs and diseases.

Planting a seed is an easy process. First, choose good soil and put it in a pot. Next, make a
small hole in the soil. Then, place the seed inside the hole. After that, cover the seed with
