THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD'S LAW

God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses, and Jesus Christ confirmed and perfected them with His word and
with his example.

The Ten Commandments of the Law of God are:

You shall love God above all things.

You shall not take the name of God in vain.
You shall sanctify the festivals.
You shall honor your father and your mother.
5th You shall not kill.

You shall not commit unclean acts.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness nor lie.

You shall not consent to impure thoughts or desires.
10th You shall not covet your neighbor's goods

In short, all the Commandments are summarized in two: love God above all things and to
neighbor as oneself, and even more, as Christ loved us.
 THE BEATITUDES

They express how the life of a Christian should be, where their true fulfillment lies.

1. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
2. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
3. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.
4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for Righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
5. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
6. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
7. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
8. Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of holiness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely.

THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT

1830 The moral life of Christians is sustained by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These are
permanent dispositions that make a man docile to follow the impulses of the Spirit

THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1832 The fruits of the Spirit are perfections that the Holy Spirit forms in us as

paciencia, longanimidad, bondad, benignidad, mansedumbre, fidelidad, modestia, continencia,

THEOLOGICAL AND MORAL VIRTUES

THEOLOGICAL VIRTUES:

Faith (the virtue by which we believe in God)

THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE CHURCH

1. Attend Mass entirely every Sunday and religious holidays of obligation.

2. Confess mortal sins at least once a year, when one is to receive communion and in
danger of death.
3. To receive communion once a year, preferably during Easter time.
4. To fast and abstain from eating meat when commanded by the Holy Mother Church.
5. Contribute to the support of the Church, according to each one's possibilities

THE SACRAMENTS

They are effective signs of grace, instituted by Jesus Christ and entrusted to the Church, through which
divine life is not dispensed

The sacraments are seven:

STEPS FOR A GOOD CONFESSION

The Church proposes five steps to follow for making a good confession.

1. Examination of Conscience. Placing ourselves before God who loves us and wants to help us. Analyzing our...

3. Purpose of not sinning again. If I truly love, I cannot continue to hurt the

4. Tell the sins to the confessor. The Priest is an instrument of God. Let's put aside the
shame or pride and let us open our souls, confident that it is God who listens to us.

5. Receive absolution and fulfill the penance. It is the most beautiful moment, for we receive the
God's forgiveness. Penance is a simple act that represents our atonement for the fault.

WORD OF GOD
