Adjustable Symmetrical Voltage Source Guide

This document describes a laboratory project to build a symmetrical and adjustable power supply using the integrated circuits LM317T, LM337T, LM7805, and LM7905. The goal is to check the operation of the electronic components and to understand how a variable voltage power supply provides regulated positive and negative direct current. The necessary materials are explained, such as a 9V transformer, capacitors, resistors, diodes, and the aforementioned integrated circuits to generate voltage.

SOURCESYMMETRICAL – ADJUSTABLE SOURCE

objectives

Check and verify the operation of the physical elements used for the
practice, in order to become familiar with electronic devices.
Understand the operation of a variable voltage source in the laboratory and analyze
the results obtained with the multimeter.

CONCLUSIONS

We understood that a transformer is used when we need to power devices that

they operate with a voltage different from that of the electrical grid, and they can also be obtained
better results in a practice of this type.

We understood how an LM79XX integrated circuit outputs negative voltages and

we check their values using the multimeter.
