TAPPING
What is TAPPING?
The central idea of EFT is that when we feel good, without stressors,
anxieties and/or problems, the energy of our body flows without any
obstruction. However, when our energy is blocked or
interrupted, negative emotions surface, which can appear
accompanied by all kinds of physical symptoms. EFT is based on a type of
psychological acupuncture that focuses its attention on meridian energy,
which also focuses on traditional acupuncture for the treatment of
diseases both emotional and physical. However, the tapping technique
avoid the needles.

Origin
These techniques were born in 1970 with the help of Dr. Roger Callahan, while
treating Mary, a patient with a terrible fear of water, whom he had in
therapy for more than a year.
Having studied the topic of the subtle energies of the body, it occurred to him/her to make
tapping under the eye of her patient, to regulate the stomach meridian. For
to her surprise, Mary's fear of water disappeared instantly, so as not to
reappear.
As a result of this experience, he developed a technique called TFT (Thought Field)
Therapy, Field therapy of thought). Subsequently, the students of
Callahan developed his own methods, among which EFT stands out.

EFT tapping can be divided into five steps. If you have more than one issue or

Test the initial intensity
After identifying the problem area, you must establish a level of
reference intensity. The intensity level is classified on a scale from 0 to
10, being 10 the worst or most difficult. The scale evaluates emotional or physical pain and the
discomfort you feel about your focal problem.
Setting a benchmark helps you monitor your progress after

3. The configuration
Before playing, you must establish a phrase that explains what you are trying to address.
It should focus on two main objectives:
recognizing the issues
accepting oneself despite the problem
The common setup phrase is: 'Even though I have this (fear or
problem), I deeply and completely accept myself.
You can alter this phrase to fit your issue, but it should not be directed
to another person's. For example, it cannot be said, 'Despite my mother
she is sick, I deeply and completely accept myself." You have

meridian points.
There are 12 main meridians that reflect each side of the body and correspond to
an internal organ. However, EFT primarily focuses on these nine:
karate chop (KC): small intestine meridian
top of the head (TH): government vessel
eyebrow (EB): bladder meridian
side of the eye (SE): gallbladder meridian
under the eye (UE): stomach meridian
under the nose (UN): government vessel

The tapping technique was recognized in 1979 by the World Organization of

They are very practical and effective for group work. The therapist indicates
