INTRODUCTION
We congratulate you for making the most important decision of your life: to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and
Sir. Have you experienced what Jesus calls the 'NEW BIRTH' (John 3:3,5). The apostle Paul

How to study this book

A NEW LIFE: THE NEW BIRTH
In the Gospel according to John, chapter 3, verses 1 to 8, there is a very interesting dialogue of the Lord.

good works, religions, culture, money, philosophies, etc., which are the concepts that generally
we have according to our own reasoning.
It is interesting that Nicodemus was a highly prestigious religious authority, leading an impeccable life according to the
moral and religious norms of his time; he fasted regularly, prayed, and faithfully gave his tithes and
He knew the Holy Scriptures. However, Jesus includes him among those who needed the NEW one.
BIRTH FOR A NEW LIFE.
But let us consider the teaching of the Word of God regarding the NEW BIRTH THAT RESULTS IN A
NEW LIFE.

A. NEED FOR THE NEW BIRTH

The Bible reveals to us that when Adam and Eve sinned, they not only became deserving of God's punishment and
they were expelled from Eden, but their very spiritual nature changed. Since then, that nature
spiritual has passed from one generation to another, and we ourselves have inherited it.
Romans 5:12 says: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
thus death passed to all men...

The state of natural man - without spiritual life and without moral or spiritual capacity to respond to the call of

B. WHAT THE NEW BIRTH CONSISTS OF

It is the work of the Holy Spirit, through the Word of God, in which our moral and spiritual disposition is
renewed in the image of Christ (Ephesians 2:10).
It is a profound change that God produces in us by giving life to our spirit through His Spirit, making us
susceptible to his voice (Ezekiel 11:19).
It is to start a new life, in which our reasons, scale of values, inclinations, goals, and purposes in
life has been changed by our union with Christ through faith. 'So if anyone is in Christ,
New creature is; the old things have passed; behold, all things are made new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
No one can be born again without hearing the Word of God and without the work of the Holy Spirit. It is not, therefore,
of works or human will, but of the supernatural action of God. 'Those (the children of God) are not
born not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:13); "For because

C. OUR PART IN THE NEW BIRTH

1. To believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins; that He rose again, and that He is at the

2. Recognize our sin, and repent of it.

4. We personally appropriate his work on the cross, believing and accepting that our sins have been
forgiven already, because Christ paid for all of them by dying on the cross. "that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus

5. Receiving Christ as the only Lord and Savior of our lives, opening our hearts for Him to enter.

D. THE PART OF GOD IN THE NEW BIRTH

If we do what is our duty, then God:
Forgive all our sins (Hebrews 10:17).

E. FEELINGS OR FACTS?

Our security is based on the promises of the Word of God and not on our feelings. The Christian
live by faith (trust) in the veracity of God and in His Word as concrete and permanent facts, and not in
the relativity and instability of our feelings.
A genuine faith will produce feelings or emotions of joy, peace, love, and gratitude to God, etc. But our
Salvation does not depend on those feelings, but on our faith in the facts of the Word of God: that Christ
he paid for our sins on the cross of Calvary dying in our place. Therefore, if we have recognized
our sin, and we have accepted the payment that he made, and we have acknowledged him as our Savior and Lord,
We no longer have to pay for them, but rather God has already forgiven us and given us eternal life!

A NEW POSITION: THE JUSTIFICATION
We saw in the previous lesson that, by the faith placed in Christ, God has given you a new life. He has given you a
new birth, and in Christ you are already a "new creature," as the apostle Paul reveals in 2 Corinthians 5:17.
In this lesson we will see another very important aspect of God's work on your behalf through the Lord.

C. BASES FOR YOUR JUSTIFICATION

It is based on the work of Christ (Romans 3:20-24; 4:25; 5:9)

Yes, I believe so.

- So, come while there is life in you. In its death, only place all your trust. No trust in
nothing else. Trust completely in his death, and with that cover yourself completely.
And if the Lord your God were to come to judge you, say: 'Lord, between your judgment and me, I present the death of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A NEW GOD: THE TRUE GOD
Don't be surprised by the title of this lesson. What happens is that we are using the term 'GOD' in its
broad sense, to refer to anything or anyone that has become the most important in our
life, and that we have come to "worship," even without realizing it.
When we love something or someone more than anyone else, when we put all our trust and focus on

The Holy Scriptures are the only true written revelation of the one true God, and the Lord
Jesus Christ is the only embodied and personal revelation of God.

A. WHAT IS GOD LIKE?

Discover for yourself some things that GOD REVEALS ABOUT HIMSELF in His Word: the Bible. Read
the passages indicated below, and note the attributes or qualities of God that stand out in each one
of them; and while you do this, meditate on them and enjoy knowing your God, who has manifested Himself to you as your

The wonderful thing is that all these truths about God are also true in the person of the Lord.

This is the message of the Gospel, which literally means 'good news', and the best news is that God

B. GOD, THE CREATOR

Let's see something more about our God. The Bible emphatically states that GOD IS THE CREATOR OF ALL

Despite all the attempts of secular man to prove that life has arisen by chance in the
universe, and that we are a product of a blind evolution from matter (which apparently would have to
to be eternal, since its origin has never been explained), so far those attempts have failed miserably.
Many eminent evolutionary scientists are recognizing today that, after 150 years of hard work
research, no reasonable evidence of the evolutionary theory has been found in nature!, and
many of them are arriving at some form of theistic creationism.
The biblical revelation of creation, written over 3,500 years ago, remains relevant, and shows us a God
Personal creator, who created us with love in his image and likeness! And the Holy Spirit himself bears witness
from this to our spirit.
For the invisible things of Him, His eternal power and deity, are clearly seen since the creation of
world, being understood through the things made, so that they are without excuse," says the apostle Paul
in Romans 1:20.
Our God is a great, omniscient, and omnipotent God; and He is your Creator!

C. THE LOVE OF GOD

We saw before that, despite His greatness and perfection, God is a God close to each of us, and
since you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can enjoy a personal relationship and
directly with God. Read Psalm 145:8 and Ephesians 2:13, where the Word of God assures us of His closeness to each
one of us.

Now that you have seen something about what God is in Himself, then something about Him as Creator, and lastly,
Regarding his care for us, I invite you to meditate a little and answer the following question:
What was your 'god', or who were your 'gods' before you committed yourself to your NEW GOD, who is now your ONLY one?
AND TRUE GOD? Remember that they could be things (money, work, power, fame, etc.); people (relatives,
friends, characters); or sinful habits (alcoholism, drugs, sex, lies, hatred, etc.); or a false
concept of God, or idols (religiosity without a personal relationship with God and with Jesus Christ; false doctrines,
, etc.)

If we were to rely solely on our own strength, it would be impossible to have a victorious Christian life. But thanks to
God, because He has provided the power to achieve it, and so that we can constantly grow in our life.

A. WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

D. THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

A. DEFINITION AND CONCEPTS

G. THE ORDINANCES IN THE CHURCH

The ORDINANCES are the external rites that Christ has commanded to be administered in His Church, such as

The TITHING, in the Old Testament, was the tenth part of all the produce, flocks, and cattle, that was
declared sacred to Jehová. The OFFERINGS were given to God in addition to the TITHE, as a sign of
gratitude for the blessings received. Let's see the teaching of the Word of God:
Genesis 14:20, Abraham gave his tithes.
Genesis 28:22, Jacob promises to pay his tithes.

The Millennium
The following event will be the descent of the Lord Jesus Christ to Earth to establish His kingdom in which
he will personally govern for a thousand years. During that time, Satan will be "bound" so that he does not tempt or harm.

3. The Judgment of the White Throne

At the end of the Millennium, Satan will be released from the 'abyss'; he incites humanity to a new rebellion, but

final condemnation that the Bible calls the 'lake of fire and brimstone.' God raises the 'great white throne' to

C. THE CULMINATION OF HISTORY

Once Satan and his followers are thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, God makes a new creation. It is the beginning.

fulfillment of God's eternal plan, of His will of blessing over humanity.

The New Jerusalem

In Revelation 21:9-22:5 we find a description of the perfection, beauty, and glory of the dwelling of the
redeemed with God. It is a sublime language, trying to describe the indescribable. And it employs for that the most
beautiful that man knows of material existence, but knowing that reality will be infinitely more
glorious. Having descended from heaven at the beginning of the millennium, it will extend for eternity alongside the
new heavens and new earth, as a permanent dwelling place for the people of God.
