1. INTRODUCTION:
The line of thermostated platelet incubators from Presvac models AP-48LT (capacity
for 48 bags) and AP-96LT (capacity for 96 bags) are specially designed for the
storage of platelet concentrates and apheresis platelets at a desired temperature
programmable.

2. GENERAL WARNINGS:
Do not use the equipment for anything other than what is indicated by the manufacturer.

The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused to the machine or to third parties by:

Improper use of the machine

of this machine, therefore they should not be modified by the operator.

The instruction manual must be kept with the machine and should be readily available for
any inquiry. It can also be partially or totally photocopied for direct use and/or
longer duration over time.

This manual addresses the technique applied to the machine.

At the time of its manufacture, the manufacturer can replace it totally or partially without
notice.

The products manufactured by the manufacturer have a proven technological level and
occasionally require technical adaptations of common market components.
Therefore, the replacement of components with non-original ones or the
technical intervention by unauthorized personnel will result in immediate termination of the warranty,
as well as the manufacturer's responsibility toward both the buyer and third parties.

3. RECEIPT, TRANSPORT AND UNPACKING

It is necessary to check the condition of the packaging upon receiving the incubator and inform the distributor if the
it has been broken or shows signs of abuse.

Since it is heavy equipment, it must be transported vertically handled by

two people.
If the transport is accidentally carried out in another way, the manufacturer must be informed.

When unpacking, take into account the final installation location, as well as the control of the
elements of the endowment.

For storing the incubator, whether inside or outside its packaging, it is necessary to protect it.
The atmospheric agents as well as the temperature of the premises must be between 0 and 40 ºC.

Excessive humidity can damage the packaging and the paint.

4. INSTALLATION:
Do not install the incubator near heat sources such as: stoves, heaters, kitchens, etc.

As a temperate climate class equipment, it is recommended that the ambient temperature not
exceed 32 ºC.

The ambient relative humidity should not exceed 80% without condensation.

Avoid direct sunlight exposure.

Make sure that the Conservator is well leveled against the inequalities of the surface of
support.
It is advisable for the capacitor, located at the top, to constantly receive a
air current.

Do not cover the ventilation openings nor expose them to rain or other agents.

Protect the incubator from accidental liquid spills on the top.

Do not use the incubator in environments that contain flammable and/or corrosive gases.

Avoid using the incubator in environments with high pollution.

Install a condensate drainage system if necessary.

After installing the incubator in the chosen place, leave it off for about a
an hour before connecting it to the electrical power.

5. CONNECTION TO THE CURRENT:

Before connecting the agitator, ensure that the indicated voltage and frequency are the ones that
correspond to the label behind the equipment, being: 110 - 120 V or 220 - 230 V. 50/60 HZ 3 A.

The incubator should always be connected to its own individual power outlet, for better performance.

6. POSITIONING OF THE AGITATOR

First, connect the cable in the incubator located inside at the back.
IMPORTANT: The power outlet installed inside the incubator allows a maximum current of 2
amperes, this must be used exclusively for the AP 48 L agitator.

With the help of another person, connect the plug to the mixer.

Place the stirrer in the central part of the incubator, ensuring it does not come into contact with the
side walls or that the tray touches some internal part of it during its movement.

Inside, it has a condensate collection tray that also serves the function of
bottom stopper. Push the stirrer to the bottom.

Caution: The agitator weighs about 30 kg. To install the agitator inside the incubator, you
they need two people.

7. EXTRACTION OF THE TRAYS

The trays must be removed when they need to be cleaned.
Pull the trays out until they stop, press them and release the tray outward.

throughout the team.

Once the temperature controller is activated, it performs an internal check and if necessary it
turn on the refrigeration equipment.

At the first moment, an alarm may go off indicating that the internal temperature is above
above or below the programming values of 18 to 22 ºC. These alarms produce a sound and
a blink in the controller.
To silence the alarm sounds, you must press the set button located on the controller.
temperature.
When the temperature is within the programmed values, they automatically turn off.
The alarms and the controller display will indicate the temperature inside the incubator.

At the top of the thermostat controller, there is a key-activated switch.

It enables and disables the open door alarm and power outage.
For the internal team to start functioning, the incubator door must be closed and the
The internal equipment switch must be on.

ATTENTION: When opening the door, the internal equipment and the incubator fan stop
work to be able to extract the product from it. If the alarm is connected,
it will start to sound when the door is open for an extended period of time
time, and it will stop ringing when the door closes.

10. CONDENSATE COLLECTION TRAY

This is located on the inside of the incubator, and it serves 3 functions:
Top of the agitator base (see agitator placement).
Wing (sends cold air above the agitator's engine compartment).
Condensate collector. The humidity in the air inside the incubator condenses inside the
evaporator cover and falls into the tray, which in turn drains the liquid outside through a
plastic hose that drains at the lower back of the incubator, if necessary
an optional pull-out tray can be placed underneath or the hose can be connected (internal diameter
10 mm) to some external drainage system.

This operation must be carried out by qualified technical personnel and with the equipment disconnected.
from the power network, as the top cover needs to be removed.

Clean and dry the condensate collection tray and check its drainage.

The maintenance interval should be biannual..

For the internal and external cleaning of the equipment, the use of detergents and/or solvents is not recommended.
It can be done with a cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soap.

The changes in temperature programming automatically alter the programming of the

minimum and maximum alarm.

The minimum alarm value is -4 with reference to the programmed temperature.

The maximum alarm value is +4 in reference to the programmed temperature.

Example:

If the programmed temperature is 21º C, the minimum alarm will activate below 17º C.
(21ºC - 4) and the maximum when the internal temperature exceeds 25ºC. (21ºC + 4)

If we change the operating temperature to 23º C, the alarms will change automatically and the
minimum alarm will be activated below 19º C (23ºC + -4) and the maximum when the
internal temperature exceeds 27ºC. (23º C + 4)
