WRITING PRACTICE – GIVING INFORMATION LETTER/EMAIL
Practice 1:
Dear Sarah,
How are you and your family? I hope everything is fine. I am so excited to know that you are going to
visit my hometown next month. I am writing this letter to show you some information about my hometown and
recommend you some famous destinations and things to try in my hometown.
Regarding my hometown, I was born and raised in Can Tho city, which is the heart of the Mekong Delta.
It is a peaceful and lively city. Besides, local people are kind and hospitable. Secondly, Can Tho city has
numerous famous destinations such as Ninh Kieu Quay, Cai Rang Floating Market and so on. You will have a
lot of wonderful experiences when you visit my hometown. I recommend that you should go to Cai Rang
Floating Market to enjoy tasty local cusine likes pho and banh mi. In addition, you aslo can visit tropical fruit
gardens in my hometown where you can enjoy fresh tropical fruits directly in the garden. Finally, the best time
to visit my hometown is in the dry season because of the sunny weather. You can enjoy many outdoor
activities. To prepare for your trip, I recommend that you bring some light and comfortable clothes likes T –
shirts, shorts or jeans because of the warm weather. Besides, you should bring sunscreen and a hat to protect
your skin from the sun. Do not forget the camera, you will take a lot of beautiful photos on the trip.
