The Monnalisa Foundation was founded in 2006. It is located in Arezzo and emanates from the
Monnalisa Group, an international leader in children’s fashion.
Our Objective:
The Monnalisa Foundation promotes responsible and sustainable communities and is capable
of drawing up and implementing developmental plans that perfectly combine growth,
sustainability, ethics, participation, solidarity, and subsidiarity.
The Monnalisa Foundation promotes the principle of SUBSIDARITY: affirmation of the primacy
of the person, the enhancement of man and his talents, to educate the person on freedom of
choice, and to put the person and community at the center of the process of valuable creations.
The foundation promotes and implements integrated systems of PERSONAL SERVICES capable
of improving the quality of life in communities. It supports and stimulates solidarity
entrepreneurship and directs economic activity according to ethical criteria, through humane
and sustainable development plans.
The Monnalisa Foundation pursues the collective interest and the SOCIAL SOLIDARITY operating
in the social, economic, environmental, cultural, and educational fields. It promotes innovative
governance models of community welfare: mix of actors, policies, tools, and promotion.
What is it?
The project, which materializes with the opening of a temporary charity shop, stems from the
will of the Monnalisa Group, a historical entrepreneurial leader in the world of children’s
[Link] own mission consists of listening to the social needs that a territory expresses. In
fact, through the sale of Monnalisa products, a donation is disbursed to the partner project.
Where are the other charity shops?
Arezzo
In December 2020, the first charity shop was opened to help accommodate after school free
time for multicultural kids.
Montevarchi
Since January 2021, after a first year of helping the 5 kindergartens in the Municipality of
Montevarchi. We are currently collaborating with the Crisalide Association that helps children
with disabilities.
Cortona
Since August 2021, we have been in partnership with [Link] Amici di Vada, which organizes
summer camps for children with disabilities.
Perugia
From September 2021, we have been helping [Link], that has as its objective, the organization
of sports and recreational activities for children with disabilities.
Sansepolcro
From February 2022, we have helped Valtiberinautismo in the creating of training courses for
families with autistic children.
Anghiari
From July 2022, we have helped CAV aid to the life of Valtiberina to support young expectant
mothers to carry out their pregnancies.
How does it happen?
1: Monnalisa products, belonging to past collections, are offered in the charity shop at a
discounted rate.
2: The charity shop is located in a geographically visible commercial area and is manned by a
network of volunteers and students with projects (former work school alternation).
3: With the proceeds of the charity shop, we help support an association located within the
same territory as the shop.
How much?
1/3 is intended for the Monnalisa Company to buy products at extremely controlled prices.
1/3 is intended for the Foundation organization, e.g. warehouse, freight transport, training, and
communication costs.
1/3 is intended for a project that is reported to us in the territory and receives a monthly
donation, based on the sales of the charity shop.
