Many students answered the survey about co-living.
Most of them are around 19–20
years old, both male and female, and studying different courses like Architecture,
Political Science, Civil Engineering, and English Education. Most students are
currently living either in their family home or in an apartment, with stays ranging
from one year to several years. They are looking for co-living because they want
affordable, convenient, and safe housing. When choosing a place, they care most
about privacy, security, and comfort. Many prefer single rooms, but some are also
open to shared rooms. For storage, they like built-in cabinets, lockers, or spacious
areas. In shared spaces, students expect to use things like laundry areas, study rooms,
and lounges. They also want good internet and a quiet environment for studying. On
sustainability, some are already mindful, like avoiding plastics or organizing garbage,
while others are just becoming aware. For hobbies, common interests are music,
gaming, sports, and reading. They expect fellow residents to be respectful, quiet, and
mindful of personal space. Their biggest concerns are privacy, noise, cleanliness, and
overstepping boundaries. If conflicts happen, they prefer communication, respect, and
clear house rules. A few also mentioned requests like CCTV for security and proper
ventilation.
