🌿 Scene 1: The Warning
Aliyah (Narrator):
Welcome to our flip class on Community and Conservation!
Today, the Earth is sending a message. Will we listen?
(Rifa enters as a sad tree, arms stretched like branches.)
Rifa (Tree):
I’ve given you fruits, shade, and air. But in return, you give me
axes and smoke.
(Ayesha walks in, holding her phone, wiping sweat.)
Ayesha:
It’s so hot these days! Ugh, no butterflies, no greenery, just
cement and heat!
(Aliza enters, flowing scarf or soft wind-like movement.)
Aliza (Nature Spirit):
That’s because you’ve forgotten your roots.
But not everyone did. Let me show you how communities across
India protected me with love and courage.
🌱 Scene 2: Time Travel Through Movements
Aliyah:
Let’s go back in time. Back to the forests… to the people… and
to the movements that made history.
🌲 Chipko Movement
Aliza:
In the 1970s, in Uttarakhand, trees were about to be cut. But
villagers, especially women, hugged the trees!
(All pretend to hug a tree.)
Rifa:
You’ll have to cut me before you cut this tree!
Ayesha:
That’s the power of the Chipko Movement – Hug the trees,
save the forest!
🌳 Appiko Movement
Aliyah:
Inspired by Chipko, Karnataka had its own tree-hugging heroes.
Aliza:
The Appiko Movement – people saved trees in the Western
Ghats by hugging them.
Ayesha:
From Himalayas to the Ghats, we hug our future!
🌾 Beej Bachao Andolan
Aliyah:
In Tehri, farmers wanted to protect native seeds and grow clean,
healthy food.
Rifa (as farmer):
No chemicals. Just tradition, seeds, and soil. This is the Beej
Bachao Andolan!
Aliza:
Saving seeds is saving life!
💧 Narmada Bachao Andolan
Aliyah:
Then came the fight for rivers. The Narmada Bachao Andolan.
Ayesha (serious):
They fought for forests, homes, and flowing rivers — not
drowning villages under dams.
Rifa:
Save rivers, save lives!
🌳 Sacred Groves
Aliyah:
In tribal communities, forests are sacred. These are called
Sacred Groves.
Rifa (as tribal elder):
We worship tamarind, banyan, and peepal. No one touches
them. They are divine.
Aliza:
This is nature worship — protection through faith!
🌍 Scene 3: Back to Today
(All return to modern characters)
Ayesha:
I never knew our people were such eco-heroes! I want to help
now.
Aliza (Nature Spirit):
You can! Plant trees, save water, avoid plastic, respect your
surroundings.
Rifa (Tree):
Even a small act of love can grow into a forest of change.
Aliyah:
Because community + conservation = a future worth living.
