➢ Scene I: In the classroom
Teacher : Shaba
Shaba : Present, Ma'am
Teacher : Aarohi
Aarohi : Present, Ma'am
Teacher : Avni
[Avni sees outside the window]
Teacher : Avni….
[Aarohi is calling Avni that the teacher is calling her]
[Avni stands suddenly]
Avni : Present, Miss…
Teacher : Ira
Ira : Present Miss…
➢ Scene II: During Recess
[Avni sees outside the window and plays with a paper bird. Teacher observes Avni while passing through
her]
➢ Scene III: During Lecture
[Teacher teaches the class during grammar lecture]
[Avni sees outside the window. The teacher calls Avni, but Avni is busy seeing birds outside. Aarohi calls
Avni by kicking her feet.]
[Then the teacher turns to Avni's textbook page and starts teaching.]
➢ Scene IV: Next Day in the school
[After taking the Attendance. The teacher starts teaching]
Teacher : Today, we are going to learn about Adjectives.
[Teacher calls Aarohi and tells her to start reading]
Aarohi : Adjective is a……….
[Avni sees outside the window. Teacher calls Avni.]
[Avni stands up]
Teacher : Avni! Can you use an adjective to describe how it looks outside?
Aarohi : [Aarohi whispers to Avni] Beautiful…. Beautiful…
Teacher : [seeing Aarohi] Beautiful Aarohi!
[Teacher takes her textbook and tells Aarohi.]
Go Back... Come Avni
[Avni comes near the teacher]
[Aarohi closes the Window]
[Avni becomes sad]
Teacher : [To Avni] You love looking outside the window, don't you?
[Avni nods her head]
Teacher : And what do you see?
Avni : Sky…
Teacher : Okay… And?
Avni : Birds, trees, Airplanes…
Teacher : Wow! You know… these books too are like little windows [by opening the book]
[Avni laughs]
Teacher : I'm serious! How do you open windows? [show by opening book] so when you look
deeper… You'll see so many things. Do you want to know what?
[Class replies together] What?
Teacher : [Smiling] New countries… New kind of people… and do you know what's beyond the
skies?
[Everybody looks outside]
The entire universe!
Avni : [with full interest] Even beyond the sky.
Teacher : Of course? Why not? But you want to keep watching the same birds and trees?
[Avni says no by nodding her head]
Teacher : No, so starting tomorrow, shall we try opening a new window every day?
[Avni nods her head]
[Bell rings]
Teacher : Ok, children. We will see you tomorrow!
[Avni runs to her bench back]
➢ Scene V: While riding on the school bus
[Avni looks outside the window] [Thinks]
[Then she opens her book from the bag and opens it slowly like a window. And both Avni and Aarohi start
reading with interest]
