As I conclude my journey through Great Writing4, I find it essential
to reflect on the academic and personal growth I have experienced
throughout the course. This program has not only deepened my
understanding of writing strategies but has also significantly enhanced
my overall English language proficiency.
One of the central themes of Great Writing4 is the process of
paragraph and essay writing. The course has provided me with the
stages and process of paragraph and essay. I have learned to plan my
writing with outline, go through the plan stage by stage, and enhance
my creativity. This has been particularly beneficial in enhancing my
ability to engage with academic materials across various disciplines.
Additionally, one type of essay writing was argument essay. Each
section of this unit introduced new strategies, allowing me to enhance
my ability to critically distinguish between two aspects of a topic. I
have found that understanding the knowing of these strategies has not
only improved my writing skills but has also empowered me to
articulate my thoughts more effectively in both written and spoken
communication.
Furthermore, the course’s another type of essay was cause and effect
essay, which show us how to write causes and effects of our topic,
and this type has also equipped me with tools to deeply criticize a
topic. I am now more adept at navigating complex materials, which I
anticipate will be beneficial not only in my current studies but also in
my future academic and professional pursuits.
In conclusion, Great Writing4 has been a transformative experience
that has significantly contributed to my academic skill set. The
combination of paragraph writing, argumentative essay, and cause-
effect essay has prepared me to tackle more advanced materials with
confidence. I am grateful for the knowledge and skills I have gained
and look forward to applying them in my ongoing educational
journey.
