ANNOTATION
(Objective #2)
Using research-based strategies in teaching has profoundly shaped my
approach in the classroom. Reflecting on my recent experiences, I realized
how these strategies provide a solid foundation for effective teaching and
learning. For instance, incorporating formative assessments regularly
allowed me to gauge student understanding in real-time, enabling timely
interventions. One memorable instance was when I noticed several pupils
struggling with a math concept during a lesson. By applying a research-
backed approach of differentiated instruction, I tailored activities to
meet diverse learning needs, which noticeably improved engagement and
comprehension.
Moreover, employing evidence-based cooperative learning techniques
fostered a supportive classroom environment where students felt
comfortable sharing ideas and collaborating. This not only enhanced their
critical thinking skills but also boosted their confidence. The process also
highlighted the importance of reflective practice for me as a teacher, I
continuously adapted my methods based on learners’ feedback and
performance data.
Overall, integrating research-based strategies has made my teaching
more responsive and effective, ultimately enriching the learning
experience for my learners.
