3 Synopsis: This course introduces the major concepts and techniques of software engineering so that
students can prepare for their future careers as software engineers. The course studies the
software development process; software requirements and specifications; software design
techniques; CASE tools and software development environments; software testing;
documentation and maintenance. In general, the course covers all aspects of software
production ranging from the early stage of product concept to design and implementation
to post-delivery maintenance.
