migration workflows (cross-cloud table moves, advanced privilege reconciliation,
multi-workspace orchestration)
• Performance optimization: Lead efforts to optimize Spark workloads, Delta Lake
operations, and large-scale data movement patterns
• Platform reliability: Define and implement SLAs, monitoring, and alerting for
production migration workflows

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Technical mentorship: Guide and develop 3-5 engineers across different seniority
levels
• Code quality leadership: Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code
review standards, and testing strategies
• Knowledge sharing: Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and
knowledge transfer sessions

Strategic Initiatives
• Innovation leadership: Research and prototype next-generation migration capabilities
and Unity Catalog integrations
• Customer escalation: Serve as technical expert for complex customer migration
scenarios and edge cases
• Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the
assessment of skills and alignment with project needs

metastore expertise
• 3+ years leading engineering teams and driving technical strategy
• Direct experience leading enterprise-scale data platform migrations
• Proven ability to design distributed systems that handle petabyte-scale data
migrations
• Data governance at scale: Enterprise-grade understanding of security, compliance,
and audit requirements
• API and integration design: Experience building robust APIs and integration patterns
for enterprise customers
