LESSON 4

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES

EXPERIENCE

Interview a teacher on his/her belief about the nature of learners and his/her classroom management
practices.

- There is a popular saying that “there is no such thing as the best technique for educating pupils”.
I couldn’t agree more. Teaching children for over three years has provided me with a wealth of
knowledge on how to deal with them, owing to the fact that each child has a unique personality
to deal with. When teaching, you should use a variety of teaching tactics that are tailored to the
student’s interests. In such a situation, you might investigate Howard Gardner’s theory of
multiple intelligence, which is efficient and trustworthy in selecting strategies for instilling
learning in pupil’s minds.

EXCHANGE

From the practices mentioned by the teacher you interviewed, which technique do you find easy to
apply and why?

- I agree when the teacher says ‘when teaching you should use a variety of tactics that tailored to
the student’s interest’. Because I find it easy and challenging to find tactics in everyday lessons.
It also enables me to experience new strategy in handling students. This will really help both me
as an aspiring teacher to develop my knowledge about what I learned especially in handling
different types of students. Not only that, my future classes will be as engaging as I imagined
now.
EXECUTION

As a future teacher, how can you provide the right environment and conditions to develop the
positive self-esteem of learners?

-A conducive learning environment is critical to the success of student’s learning. A stimulating

environment fosters meaningful experiences, promotes greater levels of student achievement, and help
learners use their relatively high by ability to think critically.

A teacher factor strategy is a situation that incorporates instructional approaches and strategies.
Students are distinct people with varying needs that must be met by the instructor both within and
outside of the classroom. Essentially, in order to inculcate successful learning in kids, the instructor must
alter his or her technique. This has been demonstrated by one of the studies referenced in Howard
Gardner’s hypothesis of multiple intelligence.

Furthermore, an engaged learning environment should provide students with learning opportunities. In
particular, by offering an engaging classroom atmosphere, one raises the odds of boosting learner’s
confidence in the classroom. For example, if pupils do well on their assignments, the instructor should at
the very least congratulate and appreciate their efforts.

Therefore, an excellent learning environment enables growth and development, embraces variety, and
activates learning and social senses, which is an ideal setting.

EXCHANGE

Write at least three (3) personal experience that you have had in the past and that you considered
that may affect in motivation. Describe each experience.

- Base from my experienced, there are many things that will affect in our motivation but I will just
state three main factors:
First, lack of appreciation is one of the most important components of motivation. Offering
recognition to someone makes them feel accomplished and appreciated.
Second, lack of support. Support from our family and friends mean so much to us. It keeps
moving though life is hard it gives us motivation to fight.
Third, lack of financial. Money also matters in our motivation. Most of the people are motivated
because of money.
Task 2: Read the research article on Motivational Techniques for Effective Learning.

- After reading this selection. I realized that motivation is very important in students learning.
Teachers really play a vital role in students learning. As an aspiring future teacher, I will make a
difference in the lives of my future students through motivating them in different ways. I will see
to it that I will make a difference in the lives. It was said from the selection that “the teacher
must use motivation techniques, both individually and in groups, to achieve the good result for
education in the most efficient and effective ways. The situation and the environment, in which
the learning is to be made by the student influences the learning process.” (Shabeena Shaheen
et al./Elixir Edu. Tech.64 (2013) 19170-19176) so I will also apply this one in the future.

Task 3: As a future teacher, how would your future students:

1. Appreciate the value of learning through your interactions with them?
- My students will be able to appreciate the value of learning through motivating them.
Giving the words of wisdom also is very important so that they will not forget it wherever
they go. Not only that, teachers must inject good values in handling class.

2. View and appreciate the value of pursuing learning by looking at your various
activities/strategies of teaching and management of learning?
-They would be able to give value of pursuing learning by teaching them how important is using
strategies in their studies and also in their lives. And to make them realized how learning would
be so boring if the teacher uses only one teaching strategy.

3. View and appreciate the value of exerting an effort to learning by looking at your various
activities/strategies of teaching and management of learning?

-Student will appreciate and give value of exerting effort by examining your numerous
teaching and learning management activities/strategies you will be able to see and understand the
worth of making an attempt to learn. They uses variety of teaching methods to achieve the desired
learning outcomes for the pupils. However in this scenario in order to your pupils to appreciate
something valuable, they must make an effort to learn it. As a teacher you have a variety of teaching
styles, hence several teaching approaches are required.
