Good evening, everyone. Let us begin with the demo.

Today we will show you how Ascend APEX

transforms a student’s uncertain beginning into a confident career powered en rely by Oracle APEX.

A → Student Flow

Speaker:
This story begins with a student named _______. He visits Ascend & goes to the registra on page, &
completes registra on by filling these fields. Upon registra on, a confirma on email will be sent to
the registered email which contains a login link & a message to complete the profile. This login
bu on within the email redirects to the login page & student logs into his account. He is first asked to
complete his registra on by filling personal details, address, educa on, interest & target details. The
wizard region best portrays how the setup will proceed. The cards region makes the interest
selec on more engaging. Proceeding further, he will select a job target in a specific domain. His
uncertainty is obvious so he may add more than one job targets & that is why he must select a
current target to focus on a single target. Once the student has a current target set, the card badge
will change to ‘Yes’. This completes the registra on & redirects to the student dashboard.

This dashboard isn’t sta c-it’s alive. Built using Hero template, Cards Region & Chart Region, it shows
his Readiness Score, Current target and personalized insights generated by OCI Genera ve AI to help
him achieve his current job target.

Pilot Ac on: Registra on → Dashboard

Speaker:
But a career is not just about skills. It’s also about resilience. With a single click, he logs his mood
using our Sen nel Well-being Module. This ac on calls our OCI Genera ve AI which uses RAG to
fetch the last mood log & current mood log & generates a personalized message that is seen as a
message on the top right & this mood log is maintained in our Sen nel AI. That data feeds into Chart
Region, giving a real- me picture of his mental health. And when needed, he chats with the Sen nel
AI Assistant, embedded directly in the app.

Pilot Ac on: Log mood → open Sen nel → AI chat

Speaker:
Next comes the career planning. The Career Roadmap Page generates a roadmap in a structured
format with the help of AI. Addi onally for more help, he searches for skills and projects using AI
powered recommenda on, discovering exactly what needs to be done to gain a skill or complete a
project.

Pilot Ac on: Show roadmap → AI recommenda ons

Speaker:
Now, the most important step-proving his abili es. He can add a skill, but before that he will a empt
a skill check which is generated based on the skill he wants to add to his skillset. This AI generated
skill check ensures his skill readiness. Upon passing this skill check, he submits skill for valida on to a
faculty specializing in the skill domain. Similarly, he adds a project with suppor ng details, submits it
for valida on & the same for cer fica ons. Behind the scenes, APEX Approval Workflows & Human
Tasks ensure everything is tracked and auditable.

Pilot Ac on: Add project + skill → Send for approval

B → Faculty Flow

Speaker:

We will now be adding some credibility to student’s work that will be eye-catchy to the recruiter & all
of this is possible because of APEX.

This is the faculty dashboard, the cards provide a quick summary of valida ons, the tab region
differen ates skills, projects & cer fica ons while report region displays detailed informa on on
validated skills, projects, and cer fica ons, and the pie chart gives a clear snapshot of faculty
verifica ons summary. The faculty can chat with the AI Co-Pilot assistant for help and sugges ons,
and manage no fica on se ng in the se ng page. Now comes the important part, in Verifica on
Tasks, the faculty claims a task, reviews the submission, and approves it, comple ng the valida on
cycle. On the Verifica on Page, faceted search makes it easy to filter by status or skill, and clicking a
card opens detailed student informa on. Faculty can also browse students, save profiles for later
review, and engage directly through the chat feature. To ensure transparency, the Grievance Page
allows faculty to address concerns. Finally, the faculty logs out, comple ng their role in building trust
for both students and recruiters.

Pilot Ac on: Faculty logs in → Approves project + skill

C → Recruiter Flow

Speaker:
That was amazing from the faculty. Now, this layer of trust added by faculty makes things easier for
the recruiter. Let’s login as a recruiter _____. His dashboard, built with Charts & Cards, is driven by
our custom PL/SQL candidate matching algorithm. It doesn’t just list candidates-it matches the most
eligible student for a specific job based on job requirements.

Pos ng job & managing them is the main task of the recruiter. He navigates to Job sta s cs to get a
summary of the jobs that have been posted in the past. He can manage pos ng of job in the
“Manage Job Pos ngs” page which displays a Classic Report of the jobs that he has posted. He can
also post a new job by clicking the bu on. This opens a drawer page where he can fill the job tle,
descrip on, & importantly the job requirements which is used to match candidates in Candidate
matching algorithm.

He can also search for students using the “Browse candidate” feature powered by na ve search
configura on. This search can be based on name of candidate, skill, project, etc. These results can
further be clicked to view the profile of the student. Addi onally, the student can be saved &
messaging can also be done using the chat feature.

For any problem encountered, the grievance page is always ready to listen to queries.

Recruiter just posted a job, what next? Students will apply for jobs so let us now witness it.

Pilot Ac on: Recruiter filters → views Skill Passport → shortlists ____

D → Student Job Applica on Flow

Speaker:
On ____’s side, he navigates to “Browse jobs” where jobs are listed from Ascend pla orm on the
right & also fetched from Google Jobs API on the le . He searches for the job, then applies for it.
When a job applica on drawer is opened, the candidate matching algorithm runs to check eligibility
of student with respect to recruiter needs. If not eligible, he gets support from AI Career roadmap,
else he appears for ap tude test generated by AI. A er passing the ap tude test, a job applica on is
sent to the recruiter closing the loop from learning to employment.

Pilot Ac on: Student applies

E → Recruiter Final Ac ons

Speaker:
Recruiter is back, he can see new candidates matching his new job. He navigates to job applica on
page, a faceted search page that filters job based on job tle, job applica on status & more. The
candidates are listed in cards & now the recruiter views only the most eligible shortlisted candidates
making hiring an easier task. He views a candidate by clicking on a card, a modal dialog appears.
Recruiter can see the job applica on, candidate details like personal, address, educa on, interests,
skills, cer fica ons & the most in-demand feature “The skill passport”. With one click, he now has
the view to the page that emphasizes not only on skills & cer fica ons but portrays the career
readiness score. Recruiter is sa sfied with the candidate & can now hire him.

Pilot Ac on: Recruiter reviews → hires Raj

F → Admin Flow

Speaker:
Every ecosystem needs a guardian. The Admin Control Panel, built with a rac ve cards & charts
provides real- me visibility into users, grievances & workflows. Here an admin can manage the
pla orm…he can add domains & interests that will help the system data in sync with the present
world. In the se ngs page, admin can access theme selec on for the pla orm & change it with just a
click. That’s the power of APEX. Then comes the email repor ng to trail the sent emails to users.
Finally, the featured ac vity repor ng page which gives an overview of all the user ac vity
throughout the pla orm.

Let us visit the user management which is responsible for user accounts. Here we can find users &
their creden als in an interac ve grid. Admin has full control over these. Wondering where the user
data is stored? Let us walk through the best use case of Master detail pages. Here we can see the
student data side-by-side, upon selec ng a student, a detailed page will appear that shows the
complete data related to the student. Similarly, there are master detail pages for recruiter & faculty
roles.

Since admin is everywhere, why not check admin’s role in workflows? In this admin workflows,
admin can check every ac vity in workflow & if required, admin can interfere & provide appropriate
support by taking an ac on. For example, faulted workflows can be retried, admin can terminate or
suspend workflows, etc.
Grievance management can be boring, but with na ve APEX faceted search, grievances are displayed
with beau ful cards & this card can be clicked to view grievance & respond to them. This completes
the admin role & our applica on demonstra on.
