1.0 INTRODUCTION.

Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to create tools, system,

and processes that solve problems and make life easier. It encompasses
everything from simple invention like the wheel to complex innovations like
artificial intelligence. Throughout history, technology has shaped society,
revolutionized industries, and transformed how we communicate, travel, and
work. Today, its deeply integrated into everyday life whether through smart
phones, media advancements, or sustainable energy solution. A briefly
overview of technology is such a big part of the world of which we live. Many
of the jobs that did not require technology use in years past do require the
use of technology in today. Many more homes have computers than in years
past and increasing numbers of people know how to use them. Technology is
being used by children and adults on a daily basic by way of who surfing,
texting, social networking, interactive games, and in more ways. We are an
evolving technological society and in many ways have become a high priority
in the public schools. The evidence in this paper shown to be helpful for
students with special learning needs. To reiterate, technology integration has
the benefits. Firstly, increased students’ motivation, secondly increase
students’ engagement, thirdly increase student collaboration, fourthly
increased hands-on learning opportunities, fifthly allows for learning at all
levels, and lastly increased confidence in students and increased technology
skills.
The reason for conducting research on student’s positive use of technology is
essential for several reasons. For example, understanding impact on
learning, encouraging digital literacy, improving teaching strategies,
preparing students for the future, and lastly addressing challenges. In
essence, researching students use of technology provides valuable insight
that shape better education policies, enhance learning experiences, and
ensure responsible tech usage. Digital technology is transforming the
educational land scape in Fiji, opening doors to new learning opportunities
and empowering students to global knowledge, and enhancing their overall
learning experience. Whether its accessing high quality educational
materials, developing digital literacy skills, of fostering creativity through
multimedia tools, technology is equipping Fijian students with the skills they
need to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. Embracing these advancements is
not just about modernization its about creating an inclusive, dynamic, and
future ready education system. The year 13 students who are using
technology to help them in their different subjects and especially doing
projects and research.
This project will be presented through the positive use of digital technology
because it enhances accessibility, engagement, and efficiency. Digital tool
allow for seamless communication and collaboration, ensuring that
information is conveyed clearly and interactively. By integrating multimedia
elements like videos, graphics, and real time interaction, the presentation
can captivate audiences and make complex idea easier to understand.
Additionally, digital technology supports sustainability by reducing the need
for physical material such as paper and printed handout. It also allows for
global reaches, making it possible to share the projects with a wider
audience regardless of location. The use of digital platforms encourages
inclusivity and ensure that presentations are adaptable to different learning
styles. This research will explore the beneficial impact of digital technology
students by examining various aspects of their academic and personal
development. It will analyze how digital tool enhance learning experiences,
improves engagement, and foster creativity. Additionally, the study will
identified ways technology supports critical thinking, collaboration, and
access to educational resource. By evaluating real word applications and
students’ outcomes, this research will provide valuable insight into how
digital advancement contribute to a more effective and inclusive learning

 2.0 DATA ANALYSIS

2.1 Definition of digital technology.

The term ‘digital technology’ is often used to describe various electronic
tools and infesters used in the data creation, storages, and managemental
processes. Nowadays, must firms rely on digital tools for customers
experiences managements and operational optimization. One book about

push for ICT in education. The Ministry of Education is actively working to
bridge infrastructure, gaps and ensure equitable access to digital tools. In
Nasesevia’s digital technology helps millions of people to maintain their jobs
and students on their education. To succeed in the next year, digital sectors
need to band together to enhanced the customer experience and maximize
the business performing across many platforms by establishing strong,
crucial links across people, technology, and for frictionless inter change.
2.2 Influence of digital technology in academic work.
Digital technology has reshaped how we experience education in powerful
and exciting ways. Here’s how it’s influencing your school work, whether
you’re typing up essay, studying for exams, or collaboration in with
classmate. 40% of the questionnaire that was distributed said that it
accessing to information students can find information online using research
educational website, 33% said that sometimes I’ may not able to complete
my school work and by decreasing our school marks, 13% said by accessing
to resources and 10% said that skill development. One of the coolest things
about digital technology in education. Hence, in recent years, education
systems worldwide have increased their investment in the integration of
information and communication technology [ICT] (Fernandez- Gutierrez et al,
2020; Lawrence & Tar, 2018) and prioritized their educational agerides to
adapt strategies or policies around ICT integration (European Commission,
2019). Digital technologies offer immerse potential for fundamental
improvement in schools.
2.3 Improvement of standard of living through digital technology.
This article delves into the ways technology has bettered our lives and dares
to dream about what might be just around the corner. Digital diplomacy and
social media platform have given ordinary people a global voice, shifting
power dynamics and allowing for unprecedented connectivity. 50% matter
where we are around the world, 24% said that about healthcare, 21% said
that by installing bible app that can change our behavior. Digital technology
has revolutionized the way we live, connect, and grow- here’s how it elevates
our everyday lives: communications, learning & education, health &
wellness. People turn to digital technology because it acts as a powerful tool
for empowerment, connection, and convenience Nasesevia Secondary School
has made impressive strides in using digital technology to uplift student’s
lives- especially in its rural setting. Digital technology is more than just
opportunity, connectivity, and growth to our everyday lives. Whether
education, communication, or community development, it’s influence
transforms how we learn, interact, and image of our future. For places like
Nasesevia, technology bridges the gap between isolation and innovation,
offering young minds the tools they need to thrive.
2.4 Positive effects of digital technology.
Digital technology has revolutionized almost every corner of our life- and not
just in the flashy, gadget- filled ways. Digital technology has a modern life by
enhancing communication, streaming daily tasks, and expanding access to
information. 43% said that by communicating with family and friends, 21%
said that it helps you know what ever is going on outside world, and 28%
said that it makes the work easier. It empowers individuals and communities
by bridging distance through instant connectivity, supporting education
through interactive learning platforms, and improving healthcare with
telemedicine and smart diagnostics. When used thoughtful, digital tools can
amplify creativity, boost productivity, and foster inclusive opportunity for all.
According to Huberta’s overview of digital technology impacts of the
following above. Digital technology can bring a wave of positive
transformation to schools like Nasesevia Secondary School, especially in
rural or developing regions. Digital technology has proven to be a
transformative force in enhancing productivity, expanding access to

2.5 Negative impacts of digital technology.
Digital technology has transformed our lives in countless ways but it’s not all
sunshine and Wi-Fi. While digital technology has revolutionized many
aspects of modern life, it has also introduced a range of significant
challenges. 50% said that the negative impacts are mental health problems,
21% said that it is waste of time, 14% said that misinformation, 14% said
that it is cyberbullying and online harassment. One of the most concerning
impacts is the erosion of face-to-face social interaction, as excessive screen
time and reliance on virtual communication can lead to feelings of isolation
and disconnection. Additionally, digital platforms often expose users to
misinformation, cyberbullying, and privacy breachers, undermining trust and
safety online. Digital technology can be a powerful tool in schools like
Nasesevia secondary school, where local context and resources play a big
role. The negative impacts can be explored more on a detailed overview on

in screen dependency has ushered in a wave of mental health challenges,
particularly among youths, with increased rates of anxiety, isolation, and
decreased attentions spans. Likewise, the erosion of privacy due to data

without informed consent.
2.6 Most used digital Technology.
Digital technologies have become a crucial part of how we live, work, and
connect. In contemporary society, digital technologies such as smartphones,
social media platforms, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence have
become deeply integrated into everyday life. These tools facilitate
communication, entertainment, education and work processes, making them
indispensable. For instance, smartphone serve as multifunctional devices
that allow individuals to access information, interact socially, manage
schedules, and conduct financial translation, all from one handled tool. The
rise of cloud computing has further enabled seamless data access and
collaboration across global teams, contributing to efficiency and productivity

Figure 2.6 above shows that 7% said that they used T.V it is for all kinds of
reasons it’s not just about watching shows anymore for entertainment and
information, many responded said that 60% of the students of Nasesevia
Secondary School said that they use mobile phone a whole range of reasons
use this technology because they’ve become nearly indispensable in our
daily life for connectivity and information & learning, and 33% said they use
laptop, students use laptop like Swiss army knives for learning-versatile,
portable, and packed with tools that make academic life smoother.
Digital technologies have seamlessly woven themselves into the fabric of
modern existence, revolutionizing how people communicate, work, learn,
shop, and socialize. While challenges such as digital overload and privacy
concerns persists, the integration of technology into daily routines to
reshape lifestyle with unmatched efficiency and potential.

According to the data, a significant 86% of respondents of the year 13
students of Nasesevia Secondary School said that it for are research they
turn to technology for research because it opens up a whole world of
possibilities beyond the library walls, 13% said that to communicate with
family and friends it is use to communicate because it make staying
connected incredibly easy, fast, and often more expressive- and sometimes,
a seriously fun one too! Whether it’s for school work, personal growth, or
winding down.
Hence, digital technology has become an indispensable part of students’
life, offering tools that streamline tasks, amplify learning, and foster
meaningful connections. In essence, digital tools transform everyday
challenges.

meaning or fun, 26% said that personalized learning is an approach that

pace, 22% said that efficient use of time means making the most of every
moment-cloning the right things at the right time, with minimal waste and
maximum impact,22% preparations for the future.
Hence, imperative integrating technology into teaching and learning
transforms passive education into an active, students centered experiences.

existing students, articles, and data source to explore how technology
support students learning outcomes. `Digital technologies must play a

thinking, problem-solving collaboration, and the ability to apply knowledge in
real-world contents” by Chris Dede. He emphasizes that technology should

Nasesevia Secondary School year 13, 80% said that internet homework

for some really practical and exciting reasons, 7% said that online grading
has completely transformed how grading is done making it smarter, faster,
and way more flexible,13% power points it for presentations is a game-
changer for sharing ideas in clear, dynamic, and engaging ways. Making a
presentation isn’t just about ticking a box-it’s a chance to express your ideas
with creativity and confidence.
Hence, Technology has emerged as a transformative force in education,
reshaping how students access, engage with, and apply knowledge. As a
result, technology doesn’t merely supplement education-it enriches it,
making learning more.

resources, making education more inclusive and flexible (Russell and
Verstappen, 2013). Businesses benefits from online marketing, e-commerce,
and remote work tools, which enhance productivity and global reach (Rural
Health Institute, 2018). Entertainment is also revolutionized through
streaming services, online gaming, and content creation platforms (Gumpel’s
Modernism, 2013).

This report presents data on the uses of internet. 26% said that not every
day it depends on their lifestyle, maybe it their habits not everyone feels the
need to check social media, news, or apps daily, 20% said that sometimes
for all kinds of reasons some they occasional use, some folks genuinely only
go online now and then maybe to check their email, 46% said that every day
because, well they do! For communication, information access and work &
school, 8% said daily because it’s deeply woven into nearly every part of
modern life-it everyday essentials news& info etc.
Hence, the digital landscape it creates foster access, connectivity, and
convenience making the internet’s role in global development, digital
inclusion, and economic innovation (Castells, 2010).

 Encourage Ethical Use for raising awareness around information digital
addiction, and respectful online conduct can help cultivate a healthier
digital culture.
 3.0 CONCLUSION.

This study highlights the significant and positive role digital technology plays
in shaping the educational experience of year 13 students at Nasesevia
Secondary School. All research objectives have been successfully met,
affirming that technology is a powerful tool for youth empowerment,
enhanced learning, and greater academic access. Digital platforms have
helped students engage more deeply in their studies, improving confidence
and fostering independent learning. With increased internet access, learner’s
forums that were previously out of research. This has created new path ways
for success and reduced the limitations of traditional classroom settings.
Nevertheless, challenges persist. Access to quality devices, digital literacy
gaps, and distractions from non-educational content remain issues that need
targeted strategies. Addressing these challenges is crucial to ensuring
equitable and effective use of technology across all learners. Looking to the
future, digital innovation holds enormous potential. Advancement such as
artificial intelligence and virtual learning environments could enrich
education further making it more personalized and inclusive. For Nasesevia’s
student, this means more opportunities to develop skills relevant to modern
careers and global citizenship.
In sum, digital technology is a catalyst for transformations. With thoughtful
implementation, it can continue to uplift youth and unlock new horizons in
educations.

4.0 RECOMMENDATION.
