Conclusion

Based on the data presented, everyone in the group uses social media
whenever they are going online. It varies on different members. Some use
Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and such. The reason why the members use it is
because they want to get the latest news and updates regarding their family
members, friends, colleagues, classmates and even in our country and the world.
Another factor that the members of the group are going online is for academic
reasons. Either the members are doing assignments, practicing coding for their
computer related subjects or accessing the Electronic Learning Module System or
eLMS. Some of the members are going online to relieve the stress that they
encounter through out of the day by accessing their choice of social media or
playing games through their devices. Another one to point out is that the average
online time of the members is at seven hours and 56 minutes. This means that
every member is online almost the whole day. This also indicates that the
members of the group’s every day are already intertwined with the internet or
simply they can not go the day without the internet or being online.
Having said in the previews paragraph, the group discussed between
themselves and proves that disconnecting to the internet and going offline is
difficult. There are times of the day that they need to do something important like
talking to their classmates regarding their lessons or their group work or simply
doing academic work were hindered due to they need to go online and access it
through their eLMS. Even communicating to their loved ones proved difficult
because of this activity.
According to different studies of being online has many good and bad
effects. The group discussed it with themselves and tallied the good and bad
effects of being constantly online. We discovered and suggested that having
moderation is the key for having a good wellbeing. Too little or too much will lead
to different illness. Not just physically but mentally as well.
